New Art at the Entrance of hOMe Yoga šø
Something beautiful is growing at the entrance of hOMe Yoga, which lives inside The Ember Collective.
This beautiful new mural by the lovely Julia represents so much of what is growing and unfolding within our space.
At the center is the feminine figure, surrounded by flowers, color, movement, and life. There is a light burning from within her, representing the inner light from which we create. When we learn to create and live from that place, our actions can become more conscious, intuitive, and guided.
At her crown is the lotus, a symbol of awakening, unfolding, and illumination. Just as the lotus opens toward the light, our yoga practice continually asks us to turn inward and discover what lies beneath the many layers of ourselves.
The timing of this piece feels especially meaningful for our hOMe Yoga community.
Over the coming months, we will begin learning and exploring the GÄyatrÄ« Mantra, an ancient invocation of divine light and illumination. Through mantra, Äsana, and our practice together, we will explore what it means to turn toward that lightānot only outside of ourselves, but within.
We are also beginning our hOMe Yoga Book Club, taking a deeper dive into Light on Life by B.K.S. Iyengar. Together, weāll explore Iyengarās teachings on the layers of our being and how the practice of yoga can lead us inward toward greater awareness, discernment, and ultimately the SeerāPuruį¹£a.
In many ways, this painting feels like a beautiful visual beginning to the journey ahead:
To grow.
To unfold.
To seek the light.
And, as always, to come hOMe to ourselves through the practice of yoga. šŖ·
Thank you, Julia, for bringing this beautiful expression to the entrance of our hOMe.
