Rebecca Miller Au-Yeung has been teaching group fitness classes since 2003. She is an AFAA-Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Registered Yoga Teacher. Rebecca also holds specialty certifications in Barre, Kickboxing, Mat Pilates, Silver Sneakers, and a variety of other group training formats.
Rebecca’s passion is to motivate people to enjoy fitness and have fun while working up a sweat. Rebecca is dedicated to helping class participants perform their movements correctly to gain maximum benefit for their postural alignment, strength, stability, joint range of motion, and functional wellness. Rebecca continually seeks to gain new knowledge about fitness, health, and wellness, and has more than 100 published articles in fitness and health trade publications.
Throughout the past 20 years, Rebecca has donated her time and talents to bring fitness classes to those in need. She has worked with AIDS and cancer patients to increase their strength, mobility, and range of motion. She has taught free yoga classes to military spouses when their husbands/wives are deployed. For many years, Rebecca also volunteered her time to teach weekly classes for senior residents in an assisted living facility.
Rebecca is excited to launch Far and Away Fitness to bring functional wellness directly to your living room. Rebecca has designed each class to be accessible and meaningful for all population groups with a special focus on active aging adults.
