Here we go again. Registration for the 4th edition of Central Texas Showdown opens April 23 at High Noon.

If CTS has been on your radar, this is your sign to quit messing around and make this the year. Patrick has been cooking up new route options for 2027, which means this may be your last shot at these roads for a while.

Also new for CTS ’26: .throwdown on Sunday. More details coming soon, but right now we’re looking at two options: 60.9 miles and 32 miles.

And since we’re already here helping you map out your year, swipe to the second slide for West Texas Showdown dates. 🤘🏻

Set your alarms and be ready at High Noon!

take a bow 🙇

Coming in 3rd overall and 1st place woman, with a record-setting time of 1d 2h 22m…she came to party.

You may notice she’s smiling in all the photos. I can tell you that wasn’t just for the camera, her enthusiasm for riding bikes and this community was a real shining star of the weekend.

Before the race even started, she offered to lead a women’s+ meet-and-greet that was well attended and even more appreciated. After that, she quickly established herself at the front of the race among a stacked field.

By the time she reached to start the “Death Star,” she was one hour behind eventual 2nd place , but she did not let him go quietly. Over the next 69 miles, she chased Dennis like one of those fast dawgs East Texas is known for. In the end, she had closed the gap to just 13 minutes. I would love to see the numbers from that section 🔥👀

She wasn’t done. The next morning, she signed up for the 42-mile inaugural .throwdown, where she placed 2nd.

It was a pleasure to watch Meaghan race and compete in our field. She is a fierce competitor, and that was on full display over 400 miles of East Texas piney woods. Equally notable was her contribution off the bike as an active, engaged, and enthusiastic member of the bikepacking community 🫶🏻

Congrats, and THANK YOU, Meaghan. We can’t wait to watch you on the Tour Divide this year.

It was an absolute honor and pleasure having at ETS this year!

She brought with her next-level community vibes and then put on a show out on the race course!

Coming in 3rd overall (1st female) with a recorded setting time of 1d 2h 22m — she came for business and it sure was fun to watch! She also signed up for the first ever 42.0 .throwdown the next day and came in 2nd. So awesome 🤘🏻

caught up to her in Neches (mile 160) and captured these shots 😍🫡

On Friday led the Showdown until a dietary decision wreaked havoc on his gut and race plans around Maydelle at mile 120.

It sure was fun seeing him pushing the space off the font and having him at the event. I got to be out in the field watching some of the action on day one and let me tell ya, they were racing hard!

Nathan captured this sick shot around mile 45 on a short paved conector. Watch till the end for “the shot”.

ETS officially came to a close when Michael Heath rolled across the finish line at 12:10 this morning.

But just because it’s over doesn’t mean we’re done talking about it. Not even close.

So strap on your readers, pull up a chair, crack a cold one, and let’s look at some photos…

We’ll be diving into the stories soon, but first I’ve gotta edit one bazillion photos, videos, and audio clips. p.s. killed it this year 🫡

For now, here are some of my favorite photos so far from the weekend. And if you’re still not satiated, I dumped a bunch more in the stories

Before you go, I just want to say THANK YOU to every single rider, volunteer, and supporter for a truly unforgettable weekend. Love you lots. More soon!

xoxo,

Patrick
