Had a fun few hours this morning hot bait Today is almost anything cinnamon. We used the stink pickle on the drop shot. We use the cinnamon slimpro on the drop shot pretty much wrapped up our day caught a giant catfish that always gets the blood pump.!!  did a little Carolina rigging accounted for a few fish. We saw no boils and caught nothing on top. Water didn’t even try. The fish are still biting on the drop shot and that’s where we stayed. 

Nice batch of Ice Picks in Green Pumpkin. Drop shot or ball head heaven. Fished any way you like.

Snuck out for 4 1/2 hours this morning landed almost 30 fish. Nothing huge it was like the attack of the clones !!! I had some solid ones in the mix just nothing too crazy. That being said I will Reel in a half pound fish all day long !!! I have no animosity towards small fish lol they all need to be caught. They all need to be reeled in. Hot baits today where the C3 BAITS Ice Pick and Shimmy both in the Neptune Shad color …I did tap a few on the Oxblood SlimPro wacky rigged on the drop shot.
I ran into the bait merchant fellas had some laughs on the water always fun chitchatting about whatever with your buddies on the water no place I’d rather be !! well I could think of a couple places, lol but this leads my list in my life these days
Also, today I just waved as I drove by the exit gate you do not need to be tagged anymore. They will still tag you if you stop, but there is no reason as they will not stop you from coming in without a tag you want to go to Piru tomorrow and then Castaic the next day. You can do that now thank God what a waste of 10 years …

Now that National Bass at Pyramid Lake is over. I was finally able to get back to my home Lake Castaic Lake.! Been a minute and it took us a little bit to get things figured out as always. Hot color of the day is oxblood red flake I can’t sugarcoat it any better.  Hot Baits of the day where the Curly Sue and the Ridgeback Reaper. The drop shot dominated the day for us at least that’s what we stayed with. We did drag up a few on the Carolina rig stitching the shimmy in Neptune Shad , and also the Lot Lizard in Oxblood.  landed 45+ fish just couldn’t get any giants, but had a bunch of solid fish in the mix. Always a good day on my home Lake glad to be back.!

Finished off the tournament season today at Pyramid Lake. Not one of my favorite places to fish but duty calls lol . We landed probably 30 Bass today and turned in a small limit at weigh in. Crazy ass weather today… horrible wind and rain most of the tournament. We finished it off and congratulations go to big Rob! Nice bag! Next stop Lake Havasu for Tournament of Champions in September!

Had some fun up the hill yesterday… C3 plastics accounted for all fish. Nothing real notable but solid fishing.

Lots of fun today … just not the solid units I usually target. Nonetheless, FINESSETHEWEST boated over 40 bass. Hot ticket today was the Shimmy in Neptune, the Jobu in many colors and the Lot Lizard… Carolina rigging and drop shotting led the way as always.
Alway fun reeling in fish of any size.
