We had a fantastic turnout, and it was truly great to see so many divers come together to DIVE. LEARN. CONNECT.

A huge THANK YOU to Douglas Ebersole for taking time out of his incredibly busy schedule to join us and share his knowledge about PFOs & Diving. 🫁❤️

This is such an important topic for the diving community, and we are incredibly grateful that Dr. Ebersole took the time to educate us, answer questions, and share his experience and expertise with all of us.

Dr. Ebersole, thank you not only for being with us last night, but for everything you continue to do for the diving community. Your dedication to helping divers better understand their health and dive safer is truly appreciated. 🙏🤿

An Amazing Small-World Reunion After 54 Years!
Happened last night on our monthly Meetup 😍

Small world story. Two days ago I saw a patient who lives in Orlando in follow-up after having closed her PFO last month for decompression sickness. In the office, she told me “Rob Luxon says hi”. I was floored!! My parents moved us from Arcadia, Florida to Orlando from 1969-1972 before moving to St. Petersburg. While in Orlando, Rob Luxon was my best friend. I had not heard from or really even thought of him in 54 years!!! Apparently my patient was his dive instructor and she mentioned my name when she was talking about her recent procedure. He recognized my name and asked her to tell me hello. As luck would have it, I was scheduled to give a lecture in Orlando tonight for Isla divers so I reached out to him via Facebook and invited him to the lecture. And he showed up! It was great to catch up! Here are a couple of photos from tonight and from 1972.

Ready to experience the underwater world after dark? Join us at Blue Heron Bridge on September 11th for our SSI Night Diving & Limited Visibility Specialty!

The ocean transforms at night, and some of its most incredible creatures only make an appearance after the sun goes down. 🌊✨

During this program, you’ll learn the skills and concepts needed to dive safely, confidently, and comfortably at night or in limited visibility conditions, including:

The group was out scalloping today and limited out! 🙌🔥 Nothing better than heading back home with a cooler full of scallops and dinner handled! 🏠🍽️

So… should we put another trip together before the season is over?! 👀
