As we wrap things up here at MF, I thought it would only be fitting to share these pics I scanned over from Mr. Elorri. A great way to say farewell and a big thank you to Francisco Elorriaga ... the man ... the myth ... the legend of Orlando Jai Alai! (some of these you've probably seen before, but others were completely new to me ... enjoy!)

Hi Everyone ... the time has come to say goodbye to Merry Festival. With no live Jai Alai here in Orlando, I am very far removed from the action. I told myself that once I didn't think I added any value to sharing the good word on our beloved sport, I'd hang it up. I find myself each day more removed from Jai Alai and my interests have migrated elsewhere. I'm grateful for the time we had live Jai Alai in Orlando. I met and became friends with many wonderful people. The time I had playing the sport in an amateur capacity was the time of my life! Great times ... great memories! Thank you all for being a part of this journey. A special thanks to Mr. Elorri. Such a great man that did so much for the sport here in Orlando. It's still a travesty the way things unraveled here in Orlando. Sorry for the frustrations I showed, but there is no excuse that something creative couldn't have been done to keep Jai Alai alive longer. We had a new owner here at OJA that had the means for something unique. With all the attractions in Central Florida, there were opportunities a mile deep to explore. At this point, it's all behind us ... and I'll try and remember the good times we had. Thanks again ... chula!!! (I'll officially close down this page this weekend).

"I will be in Benidorm from Nov 2, 'til March 31 and would looove to go watch a few games. When would a good date be? I think spending a weekend would be great!!
Could you give me a heads up on some games coming up next year?"
