ONE Week from today...

The Casselberry Latin Jazz and Art Festival returns on Saturday, Sept. 12, 5 to 9 p.m. at Lake Concord Park.

Kicking off this year's Latin Jazz and Art Festival will be the exciting dance group, Kalindá. Their performance is rooted in traditional Bomba and is dedicated to preserving Afro-Puerto Rican music and dance traditions in Central Florida. Next on stage will be Tampa-based Master percussionist, Dimas Sanchez and the Afro Latin Project, who will warm up the crowd with high energy, vibrant sounds and rhythms from Bomba and Plena mixed up with plenty of jazz and funk.

During the concert, some of the area’s greatest Latin visual artists will showcase their paintings, sculptures to mixed media masterpieces will be on display in Casselberry City Hall and the Art House. Also, during the event, don’t forget to stop by the Experience Contemporary exhibit at the Art Center and the Florida Sculpture Guild’s Cycles exhibit at the Sculpture House. Viewing for all exhibits is from 5 to 8 p.m.

Parking is available at Casselberry City Hall and surrounding businesses.

7:10 to 7:30 p.m. - Welcome comments by WUCF and City leaders
7:30 to 9 p.m. - Néstor Torres and Friends and Fabiola Méndez perform
9 p.m. - Event ends
