Congrats Jaxon!

Jaxon Brown wrapped up his first trip to the MSHSL Class A State Golf Tournament with a finish that made a statement.

The Cass Lake-Bena 7th grader closed his final day at Pebble Creek Golf Club with a 76, finishing tied for 24th in the state with a two-day total of 156.

The highlight came on the final nine, where Jaxon fired a 1-under-par 35 with three birdies. He played with confidence, stayed aggressive, and showed the kind of composure that lets everyone know he belongs on the state stage.

For a 7th grader, this tournament was more than just a strong finish. It was a learning experience, a confidence builder, and a glimpse of what’s coming next.

Jaxon represented Cass Lake-Bena with pride, toughness, and class — and that final nine sent a clear message to next year’s field:

He’ll be back.

The future is bright. The work continues.

This Sunday **June 7th** we have the honor to host the 17th(I think) annual Ray Pemberton Scholarship Golf Tournament. Raising funds to award a scholarship for a student that excels! We look forward to this day all year long and thank Shelly Pemberton for her hard work in organizing this as well as all the others who help!

Tee times may still be available to book early before the tee off. 7am-8am. Check sandtrapgolfmn.com for options.

A strong opening round for Aaliyah LaRose at the Section 7A Girls Golf Tournament at Minnesota National. ⛳🐾

Aaliyah battled her way to a 4th place Day 1 finish with a +22, putting herself right in the mix heading into the next round. Proud of the way she continues to compete with toughness, heart, and Panther pride.

Keep fighting, keep believing, and keep chasing it, Aaliyah.

Congrats Jaxon! We are so proud of you!

Jaxon Brown finished the NPC Boys Conference Finale at Tianna Country Club in Walker with a strong round of 76, earning 2nd place overall and 1st Team All-Conference honors.

As a 7th grader, Jaxon continues to show that his game, composure, and competitive spirit are beyond his years. Every tournament has been another step forward, and this finish is a reflection of the work he has put in, the confidence he is building, and the pride he carries every time he represents Cass Lake-Bena and Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig.

Proud of the way he competes. Proud of the way he carries himself. Proud of what this moment means for our team and for the young golfers coming behind him.
