Day 1.

The adventure started long before we ever set foot on the mountain.

On hunts like this, half the battle is simply getting yourself and all your gear to one of the most remote places you’ll ever hunt. This time, one critical piece of the puzzle didn’t make it: the Mathews Archery bow.

Day 1 quickly turned into a mix of tracking down lost baggage, making phone calls, and waiting... hoping the gear would show up before the hunt really began. Sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t the terrain or the animals, it’s getting to the starting line.

The highs and lows of a remote hunt start the moment you leave home. This was just the beginning.
