Good Afternoon,

It is with a heavy heart we must announce the immediate cancellation of the 2024 Kids Kokanee Derby.
As of today, we have 6 boats registered with one cancellation. Unfortunately due to these low numbers we cannot justify the costs of insurance, location and other expenses that we incur while still being able to provide the best fishing for everyone.

We have struggled since Covid to try to rebuild and grow again to the numbers we once were but unfortunately we still have not been able to get to the momentum again.

The good news is, Jason and the team will still be up at Lake Chelan Saturday the 20th, fishing, and we hope to see everyone who can make it.

We will also be throwing an informal BBQ and meetup, details to come on location of that.

For those that have registered and paid, you will be receiving full refunds in the coming days.

We greatly appreciate everyone's time and support for the kids derby over the years, and while the 2024 derby is not going to happen we are investigating a new Sockeye derby tentatively for the first weekend in July of 2024 or the second weekend of July 2025. We will be posting updates as we are able to regarding that event.

We will also be discussing internally the future of the Kids Kokanee derby and will make announcements in regards to plans for the 2025 Derby.

We would again like to thank all of our sponsors past and present for supporting us so much. We will be reaching out to you as well shortly.

We would like to thank Lake Chelan Yacht Club for allowing us to use their fantastic facility for our 2024 Weigh Station and annual BBQ.

This is also a reminder that registrations are open, and we would appreciate anyone planning on coming to get registered so we can continue our planning. We are looking forward to seeing you on the water April 20th and 21st!

Hello everyone that fishing the derby we are going to have the captains meeting At the Lake Chelan Yatch Club at 6 pm if you cannot make it make sure you meet up with us before Saturday to get your packets.
