It is with great sadness that I have to announce the passing of Ken Smith please keep the family in thoughts and prayers. This is pretty recent information so please give the family some time to grieve.

Following from Curt.

My dad passed away peacefully early this morning surrounded by his family. Thank you for the abundance of prayers and support. Services will be March 21 Saturday afternoon at the Marshall Baptist Church.

UPDATE !!! There was a change to thfuneral loacation please note

It is with great sadness that i have to report Andy Bolsen has passed away below is the information for the services if anyone would like to attend. Andy had several things come up after the surgery and sadly didnt overcome them. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

Letting you know that Andy Bolsen passed away. Visitation is this Thursday, February 19, 2026 at McMullin and Young funeral home in Lovington, Il., from 4:00-7:00 pm.
Funeral on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11:00 at the first christian church in lovington.

The obituary came out. The funeral is being held at the First Christian Church in Lovington. Not the funeral home, which is where the visitation is.

Pullers please keep Andy Bolsen in your thoughts and prayers he is a past puller. We heard he had to have emergency surgery but pulled through don’t know a lot of other details at this time.

The rules meeting tonight didn’t consist of a lot there was one class we changed the weight limit on which was the 4000 lbs super farm was changed to 4250 to help allow a few more pullers in the class. The the group decided to drop four classes that didn’t have any participation the following classes were dropped 5500 lbs 6 mph big tire, 6000 lbs 4mph, 6000lbs 6mph and 6000lbs 8mph. Larry and Justin were re-elected to there position as president and vice president. Since there was no big rule changes only class changes and weight changes there will be no further meetings for the year. Once we get the new pull schedule we will get it posted hope to see you all this summer!

We are going to try to pull today pull starts at one. I haven’t seen the updated forecast for later but I know they had a chance of showers so use your best judgment in making your decision

So far as far as I know the pull is on for tomorrow I know the weather forecast for tomorrow doesn’t look to promising so if your coming from a long ways away use your best judgement on whether you want to make the trip or not Larry and I will do our best to try to make a decision but with no rain dates I’m sure Larry’s going to try unless it just definitely looks like it’s not possible. Check here for updates in the morning or call Justin or Larry before coming.

Just a reminder the pull starts at noon tomorrow not 1pm the parade also starts at 10 so plan to be in the park before it starts or you may have a hard time getting there.
