Week 3 of CCC Men's League was played under ideal conditions. The course was fantastic and the weather was just as good. Players and teams are playing some great golf with the young guns of New Heights jumping out to early dominance but many teams right on their tail with a long season ahead. This week was the Alternate Shot format which sometimes brings about some crazy matches. Here were this week's results.

Sparks Autocare 2
Markwell Funeral Home 0
--Markwell usually shines in alternate shot and scramble formats but ran into a buzzsaw named Sparks on this particular night. What do you get when you mix Derek "Leather" Belt with Drake "Garden of" Edens? Complete dominance is what. They had their hands full with Jeremy "Jimmy" Hendrix and Colin "Curly" Neal but were just too much firepower on this night.

Darad Inc 2
Bolin Enterprises 0
--Darad had come out of the gate slowly this season but the scorching hot round by Michael Chism and Ethan "Ex" Hale may be what they needed to turn the corner. A blistering net 24 was just too much for a Bolin's team of John Whitacre and Trevor Chumley that played pretty darned good themselves (net 25). Tough one for Boin's to lose but they showed signs of knocking some teams off in the near future.

New Heights Crane Service 2
BP Coins 0
--BP brought their guns for this one in Rick "Lone" Wolfe and Trey "T-Bone" Huisinga but they may have forgotten the bullets as the young guns Kian Garver and Tyler Volk were just too much in this match. A net 31 ensured a win and helped keep New Heights and the top of the standings.

Markwell Funeral Home 0
Snedeker Insurance 2
--There's few sure things in life......death, taxes and Snedeker Insurance being near the top of the league standings. This isn't changing this year either as the team of Glen "Iceman" Isley and Chris Snedeker came out early and overwhelmed the Markwell group of Billy Sanders and Josh Stivers. This wasn't Markwell's night but don't look for them to do anything but move up the standings as the weeks go by.

Bolin Enterprises 0
Team Stoutin 2
--2025 league champion, Team Stoutin, isn't wanting to give that title away easily. And they brought out the Tipsword boys to take care of business. Bill "live and die by the" Tipsword is a practicing phenom as you see him out every night working on his game. His son Zach, who doesn't have as much free time, just shows up kicks some tail and heads home. Both ways are pretty darned impressive. They did catch a little break this week running into a slightly ailing Mike "Bo" Bohannon but they still played well enough to say they earned with a silky smooth net 29.

BP Coins 2
Hometown Butcher Shop 0
--BP needed a great effort from the other two team members after the crushing loss in their other match. They got just that as Randy Austin "Powers" and Cody Hollensbe teamed up to get the win over Chad Erickson and Randy "Thurman" Munson.

Snedeker Insurance 1
Sparks Autocare 1
--This match ended as the only tie of the night. No one likes kissing their sister but it's better than a loss! Snedeker got lucky in free agency this year picking up a steal in "Stonewell" Jackson Maulding. He'll be a load as the season goes on. He teamed with wily veteran Dick Hawkins to get the tie against Pat Niebrugge and John Murphy. It was great to have Pat around again, coming over from Effingham to play.

Team Stoutin 2
Darad Inc 0
--This was a match neither team deserved to lose as Doug Stoutin and Zac "Attack" Richardson shot a scorcher of a score in a net 29 to just slide past Andy Edwards and "Mean" Dean Blievernich who played great too with a net 30.

Hometown Butcher Shop 0
New Heights Crane Service 2
--Hometown welcomed their new rising star in Noah "Ark" Livingston. He teamed with Ron Snyder giving him a veteran to learn from. Unfortunately, they played the hottest team in the league of New Heights, who brought out Landry Huisinga and Keiffer "Orange" Julius and they did all they needed to do to get their 2nd team win.

Closest to the Pin: Zac Richardson
Longest Putt: Billy Sanders
Low Net: Michael Chism/Ethan Hale

Low Net team point went to Darad Inc with a net 24 + net 30 for 54.

Standings after week 3:
New Heights Crane Service 11.5
Snedeker Insurance 8.5
Team Stoutin 7.5
Sparks Auto Care 6.5
Hometown Butcher Shop 5.5
Markwell Funeral Home 5.5
BP Coins 5.5
Darad Inc 5.0
Bolin Enterprises 1.5

Men's League continued with so-so weather but the course was in decent shape as teams continued trying to separate themselves from the pack. Here were the week 2 results:

New Heights (B/D) 2
Sparks Auto Care (B/D) 0
--New Heights is known for the stable of young thoroughbreds but this week they brought out one of the old guard to help get them a win. Brad Hickox, playing with his grandson, came in to keep big Mo going with a win over the always tough "Hot" Rod Sparks. His grandson, Owen Ramsey, didn't want gramps outdoing him so he shot an even lower net round to take down John Murphy by 1 hole in the other match. New Heights will be tough to beat if they keep this kind of consistency up.

Markwell Funeral Home (B/D) 2
Darad Inc (B/D) 0
--Markwell found its footing after an unusually slow start (for them) with 2 wins over Darad Inc in the B/D matchups. Josh Stivers was the star this week shooting a sparkling net 32 in taking down Ethan "Ex" Hale. Hale came off a tough first week to shoot much better as he'll be a tough matchup as the season goes on. Jeremy "Jimmy" Hendrix was solid with a net 36 in getting past one of the strongest newcomers to the league in Michael Chism.

New Heights (A/C) 1.5
Bolin Enterprises (A/C) .5
--New Heights continues its early season dominance against the expansion franchise Bolin. As do most teams when they first enter the league, Bolin is working themselves into a good team but still looking for that right mix. Kieffer "Orange" Julius showed he'll be a huge asset to the CW HS team this fall as his play continues to impress, shooting a net 38 to slide past Trevor Chumley "the waters" who made his '26 debut with a decent net 40. In the other match, Avery "Audie" Murphy battled Mike "Bo" Bohannon to a tie as these two heavyweights of the links traded blows. It fittingly ended all even.

Markwell Funeral Home (A/C) 1.5
BP Coins (A/C) .5
--Billy "Belt" Sanders was the star of this night, and he needed all of it to beat multiple Club Champion and Senior Club Champion Brad Parker. Parker shot a gross 38 (net 36) but ran into a buzzsaw with Sanders carding the night's low net 28. He better enjoy it for now as that handicap will be dropping like a stone in a pond. Colin "Curly" Neal took on Trey "T-Bone" Huisinga and both players won 3 holes to finish in a tie.

Snedeker Insurance (B/D) 2
Bolin Enterprises (B/D) 0
--Snedeker is that team that fools you. They have an off night here and there and then it's like they decide it's time to turn it on. Turn it on they did in these 2 matches as team namesake Chris Snedeker smoked the CCC for a net 31 and a victory over another newcomer in John Whitacre. Dick Hawkins continued his steady play taking the 2nd match over Taylor "made" Wallace.

BP Coins (B/D) 1
Team Stoutin (B/D) 1
--Stoutin has become a team that the league is gunning for each week with the success they had in '25. But they seem to meet the challenge as they split matches with BP in the B/D matchups. Zac "attack" Richardson has started off '26 in great fashion as he carded another victory in just getting past the always formidable Randy Austin "Powers". Rick "Lone" Wolfe kept BP in the middle of the pack with a hard-fought victory over CCC employee Dave Davis.

Hometown Butcher Shop (A/C) 2
Snedeker Insurance (A/C) 0
--Snedeker didn't see quite the success in the other 2 matches but it wasn't because of a lack of good play. The brought in a secret weapon in "Stonewall" Jackson Maulding who didn't get the win but made a statement that he's here to compete as he shot a smooth net 36 out of the gate. Terry Yates fought him off on this night though with a very nice net 35 to eke out the win by 1 hole. Randy "Thurman" Munson got the other win for Hometown over the Ice Man himself, Glen Isley.

Sparks Auto Care (A/C) 2
Team Stoutin (A/C) 0
--What the other side of the Sparks lineup couldn't do, the A/C boys took care of business in getting the team an overall 2-2 finish. Derek "Leather" Belt went to 2-0 on the young season with a tight takedown of team captain Doug Stoutin as both players shot sub-net 35's. Drake "Garden of" Edens also picked up another win with a sparkling net 30 in beating the always tough Zach Tipsword.

Hometown Butcher Shop (B/D) 1
Darad Inc (A/C) 1
--In the one crossover match (B/D vs A/C) of the week both teams played well as two standout CW athletes from just a few years back made their debuts. Andy Edwards was Darad's only victory of the night as he took down Noah Livingston who traded his basketball shoes for golf shoes and showed he'll be a load as the season wears on. In match two, Kenneth Munson got his first victory in league, beating a dangerous athlete in "Saving Private" Ryan Richards. Richards has the making of a golf superstar if he stays with it.

Low team Net point for the week went to Markwell Funeral Home who shot net 28, 36, 35, 32 (131)

Standings after Week 2:

New Heights Crane Service 7.5
Snedeker Insurance 5.5
Hometown Butcher Shop 5.5
Markwell Funeral Home 5.5
Team Stoutin 3.5
BP Coins 3.5
Sparks Autocare 3.5
Darad Inc 2
Bolin Enterprises 1.5
