Today was a special day at BKD-Bushido Karate Dojo & Fitness Center, Maine. We shared the day with Nine Tigers Kung Fu.

Leadership. It’s become a theme we keep returning to and expanding upon. This workshop was one of the best we’ve ever had. There was something kinda magical about the day.

Early on we discussed ZPD as a theme. As we were introducing this theme of comfort zones there was a physical separation- a bit of a chasm- as the two schools sat on the floor to listen.

That’s what makes this photo so special. By the end of the day new friendships were made, in school relationship grew deeper and there was a spirit of connectedness in our circle.

My favorite thing about the day was- the gigantic smiles on the faces of our students while they were working and learning and sharing.

Thank you Sifu Stephen Mulloy for adding your energy and believing in our (yours and ours) students. And Thank you Sensei Eric Magiera for your wisdom and guidance today!!
