Here's a look at what's on the horizon for 2025. Richfield event is an hour-long presentation about Buffalo Bill's Wild West and some of its more unique or should we say "infamous" ties to Wisconsin.

Utica and Le Claire are full-blown reenactment weekends complete with our canvas boom town camp and an 80-minute arena extravaganza each day. Plan on a full day of family fun.

Utica pays tribute to Wild Bill Hickok each year as he was born in the area. As a very dear friend, Buffalo Bill thought it was high time to bring the Wild West to town as part of the festivities.

Le Claire is where William Cody was born. It was an honor to have the Le Claire Buffalo Bill Museum host the event last year and we look forward to returning this year. It's only fitting that once again we will be performing at the Cody Elementary School grounds which is located kitty corner to the marker that honors the official birthplace of William "Buffalo Bill" Cody.

This is Wild Bill Hickok’s area of origin. They’ve done annual events here to commemorate their connection to the Olde West but are now looking to step things up a bit with our help.

The Le Claire Wild West weekend is still a green light.

Grounds and town and neighboring towns are high and dry. Footage of flooding in MN and IA is mainly going to the Missouri River, not the Mighty Mississip at this point. Heard that the Cody Homestead is temporarily closed (which is unfortunate), but the Wild West weekend is still taking place as scheduled at the Cody Elementary School (2100 Territorial Road).

Be sure to come join our troupe on Friday night at the Mississippi River Distilling Company in Le Claire for a meet and greet from 6:30-9:00 pm.

To take part in the Wild West Weekend (Sat. from 10:30-4:00 and Sun. from 10:30-3:00, you can park at the Buffalo Bill Museum at the Levee and get tickets while waiting for the shuttle buses to and from the event. The live Arena Extravaganza takes place at 12:30 each day, featuring horses, sharpshooters, trick riders, side saddle ladies, a quick draw competition and more.

Afterwards, there are plenty of activities at the Levee to help celebrate the town's 190th birthday. Hope to see you at the canvas boomtown camp this weekend. Be sure and bring your own chairs so you can have a great seat for a memorable performance from Le Claire's favorite son and his Congress of Rough Riders of the world.

I want to give a huge tip of my Stetson to Bear Tooth Billy and the entire National Congress of Old West Shootists organization for allowing me the privilege of being a featured presenter at your 2024 National NCOWS Convention in Davenport, IA, this past weekend. You and your crew were most gracious and welcoming hosts.

Glad I could attend and present. Also, glad that we could make arrangements to promote the convention and our upcoming appearance of Buffalo Bill’s Best of the Wild West in Le Claire, IA, on the local CBS affiliate station (Channel 4). A big thank you also goes out to Rita Farrel, the Director of the Buffalo Bill Museum in Le Claire. The Museum is hosting our June event and Rita lined up the interview.

While I enjoyed my time on stage, I must admit my crew does its best work in the arena. And I do my best work off the back of my horse. June 29th & 30th, we bring our entire 1880’s canvas boomtown camp and arena extravaganza to the Cody Elementary School in Le Claire. Camp is open to the public 10:30 am – 4:00 pm Saturday and 10:30 – 3:00 on Sunday with an hour and 20-minute Arena Extravaganza each day at 12:30 featuring trick riders, shooters, the legends of the Wild West, a Gatling gun and so much more. Adults $15. Seniors $12. Kids 12 & under $8. There’s plenty to see and do all day, so bring your camp chairs and make a day of it.

Wanted to give a special shout out to Rita Farrel, the Director of the Buffalo Bill Museum in Le Claire, IA. She and her team took exceptionally good care of us when we visited town for Buffalo Bill's 178th birthday. It was a great kickoff to promote our June event when we bring the the entire Buffalo Bill's Best of the Wild West to town.
