Racers onsite at the Wild West Shootout are never lacking spring knowledge or inventory thanks to Frank Simonetti and the Swift Springs team! The support van is always onsite and if you can't find Frank there, chances are he is passing out $100 bills to the nightly late model fast qualifier or assisting a customer, some of them are existing customers when they arrive and many more are on with Swift Springs when they leave. We cannot thank Frank and his team enough for their continued support of the event and onsite product support and knowledge! Consider them for all your spring needs and make sure to tell them, the Wild West Shootout sent you!

This week's Thank You Thursday goes out to Shocker Hitch . Scott Bintz and Shocker Hitch have been a long time sponsor and participant of the Wild West Shootout. In fact Scott may be the only sponsor that has shot the guns in Victory Lane for winning a WWS main event. Scott has been a sponsor of the Wild West Shootout with multiple businesses he has owned. I know I've said this a lot but having the longtime sponsorship and support of sponsors like Shocker Hitch are exactly what has enabled us to make our event so successful. We have multiple sponsors that have been with us for over 10 years and when you are in a vulnerable business like racing, the security of long time sponsorship means everything.

Thank you Shocker Hitch and Thank you Scott.

I took the below video the day I got back to Kentucky from Arizona. I know every video says this trying to get views, but "watch til the end"

This weeks Thank You Thursday is for Pro Power Racing Engines. Bill & Josie Schlieper are great supporters of the Wild West Shootout and Dirt Late Model Racing in general. Their customer service to their racers, is second to none. At pretty much every race I attend, I see Bill walking the pits adjusting valves or helping out his racers. And lets be honest, if you had a little misunderstanding with another racer or crew, he is not a bad guy to have in your corner.

My relationship with Bill & Josie goes back 30 years. I ran a Pro Power Racing Engine when I raced, and when I became a promoter they even helped me give away a complete Pro Power Engine on my series.

The Pro Power dash was Bills idea and a way to give racers who might otherwise get the opportunity to shoot the guns in Victory Lane. Bill & Josie put together the sponsorship for the 3 Pro Power Dashes with support from Manley, Dyers Top Rods, Callies, Jones Racing Products, Dan Olsen Racing Products & Race Tec Pistons.

We can always count on their support and we are lucky to have them be part of the Wild West Shootout.

The team here at The Wild West Shootout joins the entire racing community in mourning the loss of a champion on track and in our hearts, Kyle "Rowdy" Busch. Kyle won the 2012 Prelude to the Dream at Eldora Speedway and he could be found at or near a race track for himself or Brexton when not "Cup" racing as his love & passion for the sport far surpassed his Sunday paycheck. We are thinking about his wife Samantha, kids Brexton and Lennix, the entire Busch family as well as RCR and all those in racing that were blessed to cross paths with Kyle.

This week Thank you Thursday goes out to Don Frank Floors.

Don Frank Floors is a Flooring and Carpet Company in Clackamas, Oregon, but I really want to talk about the people behind Don Frank Floors. John & Tricia Duty are not only sponsors, but they are good friends. 20 years ago John, Tricia, Justin and Craig Cassell used to tow 15 hours each way every other week to race a Late Model Series I had called the Western Allstars. Did it make financial or time sense? Hell no! They did it because they believed in what we were building and wanted to support it. That meant a lot to me and I will never forget it. Now they believe in what we are doing with the Wild West Shootout and are supporting that. The Don Frank Floors Hayday Payday was all Johns idea. He wanted to give back to the fans and the racers, and that what we did. On the final Sunday the Hayday Payday pot had built up to $6,000 and a fan walked away with $3,000 as did the Sunday Main event winner Bobby Pierce, which brought his winnings for that one main event to $51,500! Imagine being a fan in the stands and winning $3,000 and getting your picture taken in victory lane! Pretty awesome! Thank you Don Frank Floors and thank you John & Tricia Duty!
