Apex Skip-Its The Apex Skip-Its, now in its 12th year, is a performance jump rope team of athletes from 2nd grade to high school.

Through service, clinics, shows, & community events, they share jump rope across North Carolina, inspiring audiences with skill and energy! The Apex Skip-Its is a performance jump rope team that has traveled the state to perform in countless schools, community events, health expos and parades. We have taught workshops to students as well as to other PE Teachers on both how to jump rope (single rop

e freestyle, speed & power; partner jumping skills and turning & jumping Double Dutch). The Apex Skip-Its is dedicated to teaching our team members about character development (humility, perseverance, respect, responsibility, servant leadership, etc.), and the importance of a strong work ethic. You're Invited! We’re excited to kick off summer with a show and Spirit Night at Zaxbys in Apex!

The show starts outside at 6:30 PM, and we’ll all be sticking around afterward for dinner together. We’d love for all our friends and family to come cheer on the team and celebrate with us.

Tonight wrapped up our Spring Clinic, and it was such a fun night. It was Family Night, so we taught our campers’ families how to jump Double Dutch, watched our campers showcase their single routines, and the coaches even put on a show.

Tonight was Clinic Night 3 and it was all about the skills 🔥

From double unders to double dutch, this group brought some seriously cool tricks to Night 3.

The progress in just one clinic is so fun to watch, and the confidence is building with every turn of the rope.

Huge shoutout to Emma and Kayla for doing such a strong job leading tonight. They kept the energy high, the instruction clear, and made it fun for everyone in the gym. ✨

Skip-Its Serve is the service arm of our team. From park cleanups to visits with senior living communities, our athletes are engaged in service year-round.

Recently, the team collected much-needed supplies for the MacGregor Downs Retirement Community in Greenville. Skip-Its alum Foster Hager led the effort alongside the Skip-Its Serve team, and she, along with fellow ECU OT students, delivered the donations.

We’re so grateful to everyone who contributed and helped make this possible.

Registration is NOW OPEN for our Fall Clinic and 2026–2027 Team Tryouts!

If your child is curious about jump rope or ready to take the next step, this is the time. We only hold tryouts once per year, so this is their opportunity to tryout for the team.

Fall Clinic (open to all):
August 11, 13, 18, 20 2026
6:00 – 7:45 PM

Team Tryouts:
Thursday, September 3, 2026
6:30 – 7:45 PM

Last night Coach Hager turned practice into a full HIIT workout — because the stamina it takes to compete on stage starts right here in the gym. 💪

Meet Kamryn — a Skip-Its Mentor since 2021! 💚

Her favorite skill is the Awesome Annie, and her hardest trick so far is push-ups in double dutch (no big deal!). Before a performance, she and her mom grab Starbucks ☕️ and turn up the hype music to get in the zone. We love her energy and leadership on the floor!
