The mission of Ivy Lax is to provide the middle and high school players of North Carolina with the tools they need to be proficient at their positions at all levels. To accomplish our mission Ivy Lax not only provides top instruction, but also has a high coach to player ratio to ensure dramatic improvement in each players’ game. Our program is designed to improve the lacrosse IQ, stick skills, and
athleticism of current North Carolina middle school and high school players. The goal is to teach players of all experience levels the fundamentals and refine their skills and understanding. This is accomplished in a fun-filled and exciting atmosphere at one of the top lacrosse facilities in the triangle area. We guarantee player improvement. Ivy Lax consists of ten weekly two hour teaching sessions that emphasize specific topics concerning each position of lacrosse. During the first session players will participate in an assessment where the coaching staff will measure each player’s ability physically and mentally. At the end of the year all players and parents will be given an end of season report detailing the improvements of each player and what else needs to be worked on. Ivy Lax differs from lacrosse leagues and travel teams in that we are completely focused on the individual improvement of each player. Players will receive primarily one on one attention with a concentration on developing the skills of both beginner and advanced players. We are committed to providing each player with the proper amount of time so each player can learn by instruction, repetition, and by asking questions. Our field sessions are well organized, and have an attention to the details that most coaches cannot allocate time to.
