Congratulations to our students who competed this weekend at the Tap Cancer Out tournament in Raleigh, NC.

Congrats to Fernando for earning gold and getting 2 submissions. 🥇

Isaiah earned silver, winning 2 matches: 1 by points and 1 by submission and losing a close finals by 1 point. 🥈 He has only been training for 6 months which makes this more impressive.

Thiago earned silver after going up a weight class and coming off a long break after 2 knee surgeries.🥈 We’re so proud of him for going back out there.

A big shout out to Professor Luiz and Coach Alex for corning the students.

And a huge thank you to the people who donated to the charity which is the main goal for this tournament.

IBJJF World Master Championship Silver Medalist 🥈🥈

Congratulations to our student Jean for earning double silver at the World Master Tournament. She trained a lot and dedicated her time for this tournament.

She fought hard in her matches. After losing in her division, she refocused hard and beat her opponent who outweighed her in the open class in the semifinals 7-0.

And then she faced the same tough competitor who beat her earlier and lost a close match in the finals by ref’s decision.

At 68 years old, she represents one of the oldest female competitors this year at the tournament.

We’re so proud of her not only for her performance and tenacity but also for her heart and dedication to the martial art of jiu jitsu.

You will probably see her competing again soon.

Isaiah went to NEWBREED Jiu Jitsu Federation in Virginia and got gold in the gi and silver in the no-gi. 🥇🥈

Hedrick went to the IBJJF New York Summer Open and got gold and silver in the gi.

2 weeks. Countless memories. 💙

These last 2 weeks were about so much more than learning jiu-jitsu, judo, wrestling, agility, and speed.

Our campers challenged themselves, built confidence, learned to work as a team, showed respect, practiced discipline, found courage in trying new things, and discovered what they’re capable of when they don’t give up.

Thank you to all of the families who trusted us with your kids this summer. It was an incredible week, and we can’t wait to do it again! 🦅🥋
