it takes a village — and boy do we have a crazy awesome one! 👸🏻🫅🏼👸🏼👸🏾🤴🏽👸🏼🫅🏻👸🏻👸🏼🫅🏽👸🏽
I don’t think any of us expected the final tourney to go the way it did: every team making the playoffs; JV parents forming a Mom-Pom squad; and Varsity (finally) bringing home a victory in their 6th & final try!!!!!! 🤩🫠
there is SO MUCH behind the scenes that goes into pulling off a “successful” season with zero guarantees of the outcome (on or off court); and while winning a Championship trophy and all our teams finishing 1st or 2nd at the end of the season is SO worth celebrating, it’s NOT what we are about
the best parts are watching the girls come together on the court & building close friendships off the court; lifting each other up when an error is made and literally jumping for joy as they rejoice for a teammate when they make an amazing play!
each of our teams have lost enough to know their coaches love them for WHO they are; not for what they can accomplish
I could not be happier for our Seniors: & are as sweet as they come! as much as I love watching them play, I will miss even more Christy’s prayers & pep talks in the huddles; she reminds this team to smile more than anyone else; she has made it her mission to keep this team united; Kayla brings her own fire & deep deep love for her teammates; she loves to “ditto” what Christy says, and she truly means it — they are in-sync as Senior leaders, neither seeking attention or personal accolades; they are both all about TEAM and they prove it in their speech, conduct, and relationships with everyone on their team
I have loved witnessing every single one of our 30 girls grow in character & skill this season. I have watched in awe as our coaches have poured into their players day in and day out since we agonized together over team decisions back in April. I deeply appreciate the parents who are bought in and “get” what this program is about and strive to support our vision and give their best for the good of everyone in the program; you make it a joy for me and for your girls
looking forward to celebrating one final TEAMTime together next week - Let’s Go Crowns 👑✝️
