📣 FALL/WINTER TEAM PARENT MEETING 🐙

Our Fall/Winter season is almost here! Please join us for our Fall/Winter Team Parent Meeting as we get ready for another great Kraken season.

📍 Fair Acres Family YMCA

We’ll cover important information for the upcoming season, including practice and meet expectations, team communication, volunteering, fundraising, sponsorships, and other important dates and updates.

🏊 Practice will follow the meeting, so swimmers should come ready to get in the water!

🐙 Parent Board Meeting: The Kraken Parent Board will also meet immediately following practice. All parents are welcome to attend—whether you’d like to become more involved with the team, have ideas to share, or just want to learn more about what happens behind the scenes.

Please plan to join us, especially if your family is new to the Kraken this season. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone and kicking off Fall/Winter together! 💙

UPDATE: We have one Team Supporter committed, and only need ONE more to fulfill our goal, but more are always welcome!

Kraken FAFY needs just **TWO more Team Supporters at the $150 level** to reach our goal for the upcoming season!

Sponsorships help us purchase needed team equipment and support the day-to-day costs of providing a strong swim team for our athletes.🧡🖤

📋 PARENT BOARD MEETING
The Kraken Parent Board will meet immediately following practice on September 17 in the Y’s meeting area. Board meetings are open to any parent who would like to get involved, share ideas, or simply learn more about what happens behind the scenes to support our swimmers and team. We’d love to have you!

👕 TEAM SHIRT w/ REGISTRATION DEADLINE
📅 September 18

Register by September 18 to ensure your swimmer receives their team shirt included with registration. Registration will remain open after that date for swimmers who still want to join the Kraken. We just can’t guarantee an included team shirt after the deadline.

As we wrap up another unforgettable Tri-State summer season, we’re grateful to everyone who helped make 2026 such a success!

A special thank you to Butterball ‘s Our Shared Table Grant Program for providing the funding that allowed us to bring our swimmers and families together for an end-of-season celebration. Sharing a meal 🥘 , watching the kids enjoy the YMCA splash pad and pool, and spending time together outside of competition was the perfect way to celebrate all that this team accomplished. 🎉🏆

Thank you to our swimmers, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and families for the countless hours, encouragement, and support that made this season possible. Kraken is more than a swim team, it’s a family.

Enjoy this well-deserved break! Fall/Winter season begins September 14, and we can’t wait to see everyone back in the pool, ready for another great season.

🏆 BACK-TO-BACK TRI-STATE “A” CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Kraken finished the Summer 2026 season by bringing home the Tri-State Conference “A” Championship for the second year in a row, scoring 674.5 points with 26 swimmers in the water!

While we are proud of our high point winners, reserve champions, personal bests and every point scored, this championship belongs to the entire Kraken team.

It belongs to the swimmers who showed up, worked hard and supported one another. It belongs to Coach Koleton and Assistant Coach Tori, who challenged and encouraged them all season. It belongs to the families who traveled, volunteered, timed lanes, brought food, set up tents, cheered from the deck and stepped in wherever help was needed.

Our team was represented by 13 boys and 13 girls from Carthage and surrounding communities, along with the Lebanon-area families who join us each summer. Different communities came together as one team.

A championship trophy may recognize the final score, but it cannot fully represent the hours, miles, sacrifices, encouragement and teamwork behind it.

To every swimmer, coach, parent, sibling, volunteer, sponsor and supporter who contributed this season: thank you. This championship belongs to all of us.

A full day of championship racing starts with a full breakfast! 🥞🥚🍳 and team temporary tattoos of Coach Koleton Mahurin

This morning, our Kraken families gathered for a team tailgate featuring buttermilk pancakes and breakfast tacos before kicking off A Champs weekend. It’s always great to spend time together, fuel up, and build excitement before the first race.

Good luck to all of our swimmers this weekend—we’re proud of you and can’t wait to cheer you on. Go Kraken! 🐙🖤🧡💙
