Bill Hassell Golf I am currently the Director of Instruction at Cartersville Country Club. I have spent the last 10 years of my life dedicating myself to my career in golf.

I graduated from Mississippi State University PGA Golf Management Program in 2009 and received my Masters in Business Administration at MSU in 2010. I feel very fortunate to be the Head Golf Professional at Cartersville Country Club and Lead Instructor at Scott Hamilton Golf Academy. We are constantly pushing the envelope with technology with the use of Trackman, BodiTrak, Sam Putting, and TPI Fit

ness. Most importantly, this technology allows me as teacher to be very educated of the student's capibilities and tendencies. This allows me to deliver a simple message to the student with golf goals they can attain.

Honored to be recognized as Best Young Teachers in America! It’s really nice to be recognized for your efforts. I especially want to thank my wife, Eleanor, who puts up with this golf nonsense 😂.

Thank you to all of my students who have given me the opportunity to try my best to help them get better. It’s about the journey and the process, not the results (but of course, results are nice).

Big thank you to Troy Spencer & for the opportunity to teach at such a wonderful Club! Hope to maybe make the Best Old Teacher List at some point…I think I’m only a year away 😂

It’s been a great first few months on the job at Marietta CC!

Here’s some before and after ‘stills’ and a few more pics. I think alot of times students think of positions as simply ‘good & bad’, but don’t know how to get there or why they need to. It’s a lot of fun doing my best to connect with students and help them connect the dots. And it’s perfectly fine if we don’t get it right on the 1st or 2’d try. Golf usually doesn’t work like that. Proud of these students for sticking with it and making some nice strides. From my experience, a good setup, motion drills, and/or a simple change of intention/thought process leads to these positions that turn into a nice flow/swing.

It’s also been alot of fun introducing to the membership. Appreciative of each student that gives me the opportunity to help them. Onward and upward 👊📈

A little late but wanted to congratulate alot of great play from students this Spring!

Brody McQueen finished 10 under par his last for third place finish, and has had a stellar high school season.

shot 6 under par with win her region tournament and is gearing up for the US Four Ball next week. Best of luck, Ella!

has had an awesome freshman year for the Shorter Hawks earning Conference Freshman of the year!

won two high school events last week winning his region tournament with 73 and a two under par medalist.

Sam Gomeyac won his region with a solid 1 under par to clip the field by 1.

Proud of the work all these players put in and always excited to be a small part of the recipe for success. We really don’t talk about winning. It’s typically all about fixing the current problem which could be course management decisions, swing help, expectations etc. Focus on the process, keep learning, stay FORever patient, and the results will come. Congrats yal and several others playing great golf in 23’!

I always like to remind my students that there is winning & learning. And also, that it’s a marathon not a sprint. Finally, I try to remind them they are playing against the golf course and not anybody else. If you shoot par or better (generally speaking), most of the time you’ll be in the winner’s circle or close to it. I repeat it A LOT because it’s true and we need reminders all the time! These golfers have put a ton of effort in for a long time to stand with a trophy! Congrats to these studs and several others for great play in June! Let’s keep getting better 💪🙏
