LAVRA's goals are to develop and improve individual cycling ability and skills; expose and promote competitive cycling programs from junior through master amateur levels; and to promote local, regional, state, national, and international amateur cycling and competition. At this time, most LAVRA track races are held at the VELO Sports Center ("VSC"). About the VSC
The VELO Sports Center ("VSC") is a 100,000 square foot, $15 million dollar 250m internationally recognized indoor wood cycling track (velodrome) located on the grounds of the Dignity Health Sports Park. It is an official Team USA and USA Cycling training site and future home to LA28. The track is open to the public during specified hours and caters to riders of all ages and abilities. The VSC will host training and competition under the guidance of USA Cycling. Events include local, regional, state, national, and international events.
