CITY OF GARLAND MOVING FORWARD WITH $25 MILLION SOCCER COMPLEX

While the original $70.87 million vision for an Atlético Dallas training hub at this site officially fell through when negotiations ended in late 2025, the City of Garland is still keeping its promise to bring a major soccer facility to the community. A new project filing reveals the development of the Garland Soccer Complex at 1770 Holford Road, situated near the President George Bush Turnpike. This updated project represents a $25,000,000 investment and will feature a 14,000-square-foot facility to house locker rooms, a concession stand, restrooms, and a maintenance building to support the surrounding fields.

Construction on the new sports destination is slated to kick off this fall on October 10, 2026, with an estimated completion date exactly one year later on October 10, 2027.
