As a Pilates teacher first certified in 1999 (whoa!), here are the top five things I am NOT annoyed by in classes 🖤
1. Moving slower than everyone else - sometimes you need to slow it down more and that's okay!
2. Modifying - i give lots of modifications, and if you choose one i haven't mentioned to make everything more challenging or less challenging, that's okay!
3. Reformer spring changes - I have something in mind with the spring setting, but you can always adjust that. often in Pilates, the lighter springs make it all way harder!
4. Taking a break - it's okay if you need to stop for a second, sometimes you need a child's pose or a La Croix or something!
5. Being confused - sometimes being totally confused is the perfect blank slate to find a new movement pattern. embrace it!
