CVA would like to congratulate Nathan Pare ‘PG and Boden Gerry ‘24 on their 2nd and 3rd place NorAm overall finishes, respectively, for the 2023-2024 season in Snowboard Cross.

The NorAm Cup is a FIS series of events hosted in the U.S. and Canada and is considered a stepping stone to the World Cup circuit. Let’s just say, these athletes stepped up to the challenge, and, as a result, both Nate and Boden have earned World Cup starts for the 2024-2025 season.

Congratulations, Nate and Boden. We are so happy for and proud of you both, and we can’t wait to see what the next year brings.

And congrats to CVA Big Dog, Theo McLemore, on his 1st place finish for the season!

CVA would like to congratulate post-graduate athlete Nathan Pare on receiving the prestigious award of Rookie of the Year.

FIS presents this award annually to one male and one female, from the sport of Snowboard Cross who have completed a first full-season of competitions.

The criteria for the “Rookie of the Year” award is based on the following:
- 50% results in the current season
- 50% personality and attitude

The recipients of the award are determined by a vote from the Team Captains at the last World Cup competition of the year. Each Team captain has 1 vote, and the winner must receive an absolute majority of votes, which shows how prestigious this award is.

Nate, your dedication, talent, and positive demeanor have truly set you apart. We are so proud of you, and look forward to following your continued success throughout your promising career.
