Hailing from Central Wisconsin, the Flying K Trick Riders will give their debut professional performance at the Carney Roundup Rodeo on June 4th and 5th at the Carney rodeo grounds. Their goal: Provide a high-energy performance using excellent horsemanship, positive attitudes and teamwork, to inspire kids and all to reach their dreams. The friendship of Kellie Creen, Clintonville, WI and Kayla Matz, Caroline, WI, grew through horses and their mutual enjoyment of trail riding, giving riding lessons and participating in horse shows. Inspired themselves by attending a show with professional trick riders, they agreed, "Let's try that!"
Kellie began training with desensitizing her horses Zoey, Penny and Ghostie to the various tricks performed while on horseback. She and Kayla worked on stunts whenever they could; dreaming someday of performing for a live audience. They enlisted the help of horse drill team veteran Connie Klotzbuecher from Manawa, WI, and Mr. T, her seasoned rodeo horse, to help guide the stunts and their ex*****on. With horses being pack animals, Connie and especially Mr. T, keep the trick horse moving forward, giving them a horse to follow. All the hours, weekends and months of practice have paid off and their dream becomes reality June 4th and 5th at the Carney Roundup Rodeo!
A big thank you goes out to the Carney Rodeo Committee for their goal to help youth.
