🚐 School’s out — let Kids Hangout take it from here! 🚐

Come along with of one of our CRPD van drivers! ☀️

Between work, school pickup, homework, and everything else packed into an afternoon, parents have a lot to juggle. That’s why Kids Hangout at CRPD offers transportation from select local schools directly to our after-school program!

Our amazing drivers help make afternoons a little easier for parents and a lot more fun for kids. 💛

We currently provide pickup from:
📍 Barrett Middle School
📍 Churchill Middle School
📍 Deterding Elementary School

And for our California Montessori Project (CMP) – Carmichael Campus families, you’re already right where the fun is! CMP students who don’t need transportation save $10 per child, per week!

From school pickup to check-in, our team gets kids where they need to be so parents have one less thing to coordinate and kids can get straight to an afternoon of friends, activities, games, and fun.

A little hello from Del Campo Park 👋

On this last day of August, we’re already noticing those little signs that a new season is on its way—and Del Campo Park is such a beautiful place to slow down and notice them.

Tucked into the Carmichael neighborhoods at the end of Heathcliff Drive, Del Campo is the kind of neighborhood park you can actually walk to and make part of your everyday routine. With concrete walking paths, open green space, a playground, a soccer field and a natural area, there’s a little something happening in every direction.

On this walk, we spotted so many different kinds of trees—from towering redwoods with tiny yellow mushrooms at their feet, to one tree already beginning its transition into fall. 🍁🌳 And we watched families playing together at the playground and walking together to soccer practice.

That’s what makes neighborhood parks like this special. They’re not just places you visit—they’re places woven into the community, connecting homes, families, walking paths and the changing seasons.

So… consider this our early fall hello and check out the park for yourself. 👋
