..β¦. Another BQ! ππ π¦ 3:29:58
It was a strong race! I felt solid and kept it relaxed, but the warmth didnβt let the final 10k unfold that I wanted. However, I wouldnβt change a thing and I hung on the best that I could with the mental strength that we have built over the past few years. With Sherab at mile 24, she knew I needed her, and she got me back on track while running a bit ahead, on tired legs, egging me on to the finish line. Iβm amazed and so thankful for her knowing exactly what I needed today, even when I didnβt know myself. π
I felt really good for most of the race as I stayed relaxed and calm. I accomplished another goal while making new ones and learned lessons while having my best friend and coach at 4 different mile markers along the route. There are no words to fully express the gratitude I have for her! βΊοΈ
I canβt tell you how many people came up to her at the finish thanking her for the support as they ran by, the cheers, screams and advice as she helped many people realize they had more within themselves when they had given up. Sheβs always said, everything I need is within. She brought that out of so many struggling runners today (and ones that were flying high). Iβm SO proud to call her my friend and my coach.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for an unforgettable weekend. Iβm beyond sad to give you back to Canada ππ The universe knew I needed you here today, in ways only we know. Thank you for staying by my side along 26.2 miles and beyond the finish line π
