Rain or shine, there’s nothing quite like Indiana’s Nicest Day! ☔️☀️🩰

After a very rainy start to the day, the skies cleared and the sun came out just in time for CIDE to take the stage at the Penrod Arts Fair! We’re so grateful to continue this longtime tradition and share the stage with so many incredible artists from across Indiana.

✨ ALUMNA UPDATE ✨

We’re so excited to celebrate CIAoD & CIDE alumna Alison Bishop as she begins an exciting new chapter with Nevada Ballet Theatre II! 🩰

After spending two seasons in the Professional Division at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Alison has joined Nevada Ballet Theatre II for the 2026–2027 season. We are incredibly proud to see her continuing to grow as an artist and can’t wait to follow along with all that’s ahead! ❤️

Alison began dancing at Central Indiana Academy of Dance in 2015. She joined Central Indiana Dance Ensemble in 2016, where she danced until 2024. She enjoyed dancing in numerous productions, from The Nutcracker to Alice in Wonderland. Most recently, Alison danced in the Professional Division at Pacific Northwest Ballet under the direction of Peter Boal. She took part in many school and company productions, from Jessica Lang’s Momotaro to George Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco. At the start of the 26/27 season, Alison joined Nevada Ballet Theatre II under the direction of Don Bellamy. She is very excited to dance alongside the company this season!

Whether you’ve always wanted to try ballet, danced years ago and are ready to return, or are simply looking for a new way to move—Adult Ballet at CIAoD is for you!

Join Paul Tillman for a welcoming, encouraging class designed for adult dancers of all experience levels. With an extensive professional dance career and years of teaching experience, Paul brings knowledgeable instruction and a love of ballet to every class.
