Carmel Swim Club is ready to represent Team USA in Vancouver, British Columbia this week! Three of our athletes - Trent Allen, Ellie Clarke, and Yi Zheng - are competing in the Junior Pan Pacific Championships, which kick off tomorrow and run through Thursday, August 20. Prelims begin daily at 12 PM (EST) and finals will start at 8 PM (EST). Also putting on the Stars and Stripes? Chris Plumb - Chris serves as the Head Coach for Team USA for the meet. Join us in cheering everyone on as they compete! See the full ENTRY list for each athlete below:
- Trent Allen: 200 FR, 400 IM, 400 FR, 200 IM, and 50 FR
- Ellie Clarke: 100 BK, 200 FL, 400 IM, 200 BK, and 200 IM
- Yi Zheng: 200 FL, 400 IM, 200 BK, 200 IM, and 200 BR

A huge congratulations to Aaron Shackell! Aaron split a blistering 1:44.23 as part of Team USA’s 4x200 Meter Free Relay, alongside Luke Hobson, Patrick salmon, and Gabriel Jett to secure the gold medal with their time of 6:59.37. Way to go!

Team USA hits the pool this week for the 2026 Pan Pacific Championships! Two of our own CSC athletes, Aaron and Alex Shackell will represent the US and we wanted to be sure you knew how to tune in and show your support for the Stars and Stripes.

The meet kicks off on Wednesday, 8/12 and runs through Saturday, 8/15. Each session will be streamed live on Peacock (1 PM for Prelims, 10 PM for Finals) and highlights will be shown on NBC on Saturday at 3 PM and Sunday at 2 PM.

Aaron is entered in the following events: 200 FR, 100 FR, 400 FR, and 50 FR
Alex is entered in the following events: 200 FL, 100 FR, 100 FL, and 200 IM

Join us in cheering on Aaron, Alex, and all of Team USA as they compete in Irvine!
