❤️🥀 A New Chapter in IBC History ❤️🥀
As the curtain falls on the world premiere run of "Romeo & Juliet", our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.
What began as an ambitious vision for Indiana Ballet Conservatory's 15th Anniversary Season became something truly extraordinary. Together, our community brought a brand-new full-length ballet to life - one that touched audiences in Carmel and Wabash, earned standing ovations, inspired glowing reviews, and created memories that will stay with us for years to come.
To our dancers: thank you for your courage, discipline, artistry, and commitment. You embraced one of the most demanding productions in classical ballet and rose to every challenge with grace and determination.
To our families: thank you for every ride, costume adjustment, meal, rehearsal, volunteer hour, and word of encouragement. None of this happens without you.
To our truly world-class faculty and staff: thank you for the countless hours spent preparing more than 100 dancers for this monumental production.
To our Founder and Artistic Director, Alyona Yakovleva: thank you for your vision, creativity, and extraordinary talent. This production was a masterpiece born from your passion and dedication.
To Board President Rick Griskie and our Board of Directors: thank you for your leadership, support, and belief in what IBC can achieve.
To our guest artists and alumni/faculty Justin Hamilton, Ian Anderson-Conlon, and Roman Nikiforov: thank you for helping elevate this production and inspire the next generation.
To our new Business Operations Manager, Mark Pecar: thank you for stepping into this exciting moment in IBC history and helping make it a success.
To our production team from costuming to backstage warriors: "thank you" is never enough. Your tireless commitment is quiet and unseen, but without you...
To the professional musicians from Meridian Music School who provided live music, Amanda Renzulli for her stunning photography, and Phil Cramer for beautifully capturing this production on video - thank you for helping preserve and elevate this special experience.
To performing arts critic Tom Alvarez, journalist Janelle Morrison, and the many community influencers who shared this production with their audiences: thank you for helping tell our story.
To Mayor Sue Finkam, Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts, the Honeywell Arts & Entertainment team, Eagles Theatre, Wabash Valley Dance Theater, and the many community leaders and arts supporters who welcomed and championed this production: thank you for believing in the arts and helping them thrive.
And to everyone not named here - our volunteers, donors, patrons, sponsors, friends, and supporters - please know that your contribution was essential AND appreciated so very much!
This was more than a production.
