This isn’t a swing tip. It’s a decision tip. And it’s costing you shots every round.
You think you hit your 7-iron 155 yards. That’s your best shot. Your average — across all contact, all conditions — is closer to 145. And you’re aiming at a flag that’s 152 yards away.
Tour professionals play their worst realistic shot, not their best possible shot. They take one more club and swing normally. The middle of the green is the target, not the flag.
The penalty for going over a green is a chip. The penalty for going short is usually a bunker or a difficult pitch from below the hole.
The simulator shows your actual carry distance on every shot. Use it. Then take one more club next time you’re between distances.
3–5 shots per round. Zero practice required.

The most common alignment mistake in golf isn’t a swing problem.
Stand behind your ball before every shot and find one specific target — not the general direction, a specific target. A tree branch. A spot on the green. A mark.
Then set your clubface to that target first. Your feet second. Your body lines up to the clubface — not the other way around.
90% of alignment errors start with the feet being set before the face. Reverse it.
Work on it in the bay. The simulator shows you exactly where the ball actually goes — which is often different from where you thought you were aimed.

If your chip shots are inconsistent, this is almost always why.

Deceleration. You’re slowing the club down into the ball instead of accelerating through it.

The drill: your follow-through should be at least as long as your backswing. Most players do the opposite — big backswing, short follow-through. That’s the chunk. That’s the thin. That’s the yip.

Flip it. Short backswing. Full follow-through with the shaft leaning toward the target.

The simulator will show you the difference immediately. Ball first contact, consistent flight, predictable distance.

Work on it in the bay. Save this reel before your next session.
