TIP OF THE DAY!
If your opponent’s d**k travels past the kitchen line, don’t retreat to play it off the bounce. A common beginner mistake is letting those balls drop several feet behind the kitchen line instead of taking them out of the air. As a rule, any ball that lands more than about a foot past the kitchen line should be volleyed.
Stepping back gives your opponent more space to attack your feet, which is difficult to defend. It also takes away your chance to be aggressive, since volleys are generally easier to attack than d**ks. Staying up and taking the ball out of the air helps you maintain control and creates more offensive opportunities.
