Fall has arrived and now it’s the time to start adding more ghee to your diet. Maybe try it in your morning drink or cooking with it to activate digestive spices. For fall I use minimum 2tbs a day. A TRULY MAGICAL WEEKEND

I can’t really find the right words to describe the incredible weekend that we just experienced. It was a dream come true and it was everything and more. My heart is overflowing with love and gratitude. Here are a few moments from the retreat since a picture says more then a thousand words.

STILLNESS

The dust is slowly settling but the heart glow is still radiant from last weeks Yoga and Ayurveda retreat. When you arrive home after a retreat or deep soul work it’s very important that you take time for reflection and stillness. Letting the magic truly soak into every cell of you body. Take three positive things from your experience and implement them into your life. Sometimes we want to change too much too fast so let it be a graceful transition back to your home and family. Focus on nourishment and on things that bring you joy.

FALL

I love all seasons but there is something so cozy about fall. This is the time to slow down and to nourish yourself. Choose a gentler yoga practice like yin yoga. Eat more root vegetables and bring in soups and stews. One teacher told me that you should eat from a bowl at every meal. If it can be on a plate it is too dry for the season. Another top favorite of mine is warm oil massage, switching to vata pacifying oils like sesame oil. I also love to add more grounding essential oils to my daily routine. For every seasonal change Ayurveda recommends a few days of clean eating, less online activity, less sensory stimulation and less doing.
