**Trixie is back on the road. 💗**

This 1985 Trek 770 “Pink Panther” came through the shop for a fresh tune-up. Built by hand in Wisconsin, the 770 was one of Trek’s premier racing frames of the era, crafted from **Reynolds 531 Competition steel** and designed for riders who wanted every advantage they could get before carbon fiber changed the game.

Paired with a classic **Campagnolo groupset**, this bike represents a time when the best American frames were often matched with the finest Italian components. The smooth operation, polished alloy finish, and timeless engineering of Campagnolo helped make setups like this the gold standard for serious road riders throughout the 1980s.

The distinctive hot pink fade paint scheme—better known as the **”Pink Panther”** colorway—has since become one of the most recognizable and sought-after finishes in Trek history. Nearly four decades later, it still stops people in their tracks.

With its race-inspired geometry, lugged steel construction, and legendary component spec, the Trek 770 remains a reminder of what made this era of cycling so special: craftsmanship, performance, and personality.

A tune-up later, Trixie is shifting smoothly, rolling fast, and looking every bit as iconic as she did in 1985.

**Because some bikes get old. Others become legends.**
