This morning Kyle and Micah rolled in from Minnesota to pick up Kyle’s new Wilier Filante SLR.
But this wasn’t just a bike pickup.
They also brought us our first shipment of HED Wheels—a small, family-run American company that has been designing and building high-performance bicycle wheels in the U.S. for decades. HED has a long history in racing and carbon wheel development, and we’re excited to bring that story to Velo Star.
We got Kyle’s bike dialed in, answered questions, loaded up the first batch of HED wheels, and then took Kyle and Micah out for a ride around OKC to make sure everything felt right.
We’re building something with HED that goes beyond just putting another wheel brand on the wall. We’ll be working closely with the HED family, telling their story, collaborating, and getting these wheels out on the road with our community.
Kyle and Micah made the drive all the way from Minnesota, so we figured the least we could do was give him the full OKC welcome.
