We were looking forward to race 2 of the Maxxis Midwest series, but Mother Nature threw a different reason at us to stay home. Gotta babysit the sump pump so the basement doesn’t flood 😩🤦🏼‍♀️.

Day 2 in Columbus was a much better way to finish the weekend. Had enough to keep up with those in front, just not quite enough to pass them.

🟪 Plate (17 karts) - p3 to p2
Pro 🟪 (20 karts) - p6 to p4

Yesterday just wasn’t our day. Out of 42 Purple Plate karts, only 18 made the features.

🟪 Plate: Started P3, finished P15. Ethan ran in the top 5 all race until contact and a small mistake on the final lap sent him spinning. The resulting caution ended the race.

Pro 🟪: Qualified 16th, started P8 in Duel 2, and drove up to P3. After the race, both the winner and Ethan were disqualified for a missing safety wire on the muffler mount.

A DQ is never how we want to finish, but it wouldn’t have affected the finishing order. We take responsibility, apologize to our sponsors, and will learn & move on.

On to Day 2 for TMKS. Ethan is running Jr3 (🟪 classes), Dustin’s in the adult clone classes. 💪

Maxxis Midwest Series Race #1 - Atwater, MN

Ethan, Dad & Tire Guy Tim made the 8 hr trek to Minnesota for a day with its ups & downs that ended on a really good note.

Jr2 Heavy - p2 to p2

Jr2 Prelude - p8 to DNF (tried something in qualifying that didn’t quite work then in the feature a rock got stuck in the gear guard & ended Ethan’s race on lap 1)

Jr2 Pro - p1 to 🏁

Lack of 📸 this race since Mom stayed home for Emilie’s ⚽️ tourney.

Off the next couple of weekends for ⚽️ and 🏀 tourneys.

Sometimes you do dumb things but it ends up working out.

Raced in Pontiac Friday night.
Heat 1: p2 to p2
Heat 2: p6 to 🏁
Feature: p1 to p2. held the lead until lap traffic

Pulled out of Pontiac at 11:30pm. Drove to Davenport, IA. Slept 4 hours. Got up at 7am to finish the drive to Kamrar. Ran out of fuel one mile from a gas station. Pulled in to the track with 1 hr before hot laps.

Jr2: p3 to p8 - tried something and it didn’t work
Jr2 Pro: p1 to 🏁

Dustin brought home 🏁 in Clone 360 last night and Clone Heavy today.
