Thorne Hills Golf Course

BUTCHERING the Pines would have made it easy for our people who mowed grass, and my life easier these past years, at Thorne Hills GC, by MYSELF, with extreme limitations! These guys make it look like a cake walk, but what I see are butchered Pine Trees. I am not seeing just Eagles, I see easy double eagles. Volunteer, Joel, showed me the trick of using a pole saw under Pines.

I am not quite grasping the concept. I hope it’s not in their crazy plans.
Not trying to share my apparent, DOOM, but Pine Trees take years to grow, and they don’t grow back! If the cutters continue do this to other places on the course, like #14 for example, this could be hazardous. Has me questioning is this still going to be a golf course or is it a park! No F’n matter! NOW I will blame Daniel G Thorne II, he is a total SH****AD! A SH****AD, that never gave a s**t, and never will.
So it’s all good, what has not killed me will make me stronger, I am not his victim

Warning to Drivers: Drivers should remain alert and aware of their surroundings. How can one fail to notice a turtle crossing the road? I doubt that a golfer, renowned for their excellent eyesight, was the one who hit this turtle on Sumpter Road. If you are a golfer looking to play at the Sumpter and Hivon Road course, you may want to reach out to Iron Mikes Eatery, it appears they have a team working on opening the course to golfers

MISSING —-MUMZIE CAT—- I believe Dr Frye gave her a microchip when he spayed her last summer, hoping Mumzie did not get trapped somewhere. She was not born to be a house cat, she will stay only a few days, before she bolts

HAPPY EARTH DAY or to us God fearing believers

To me a mole hill is a mountain, it is amazingly crazy to me such a small creature, I refer to these critters as TURBO RATZ , can plow through concrete!!
It brings me to imagine perhaps God had a better plan for these TURBO RATZ, what if, we could use moles to plow where we choose to plow , like the privileged do with the robotic lawn mowers in this high tech wealthy century we live, Tho, I do hope and believe, God Promises to make everything new! Revelations 21:5 But until this happens, my hope is we can all strive to be wise stewards of our great Earth Land and Sea! No matter how you believe it happened or how we got here it’s a gift! 🌎🌈🕊️

Sorry friends and public I thought you all were aware of the equipment issues I am not quite feeling the hustle to repair old equipment to cut grass
I can visualize electric fence and renting it to a sheep farmer (not really)
Right now I am undecided if I should let my pack to run off the geese, as a pair turns into eighty in no time!
I am sensing our wildlife feel the pinch these days also as new habitat is becoming as obsolete as golf courses these days. Happy news its beautiful to see plentiful deer grazing do not even mind them dropping the free fertilizer 🤠

One aspect I will not miss about managing an amateur golf course is delivering stern reminders about parking and standing behind tee markers, having witnessed firsthand the errant shots that have knocked beverages out of the hand of a nearby patron. Pro’s seldom shank! I was hoping Rory would get challenged by one of the underdogs on his tail! I must have Lion football fan syndrome 🤣

Do not like to find fallen Pine’s but at least it took prone position before it was tall enough to to break lines! Shout out to DTE management and crew who were on their toes and have improved our outage time tremendously ☀️
