🔥 BIG SHOUTOUT TO SENIOR KYLE LINK! 🔥

Kyle put together an outstanding performance today at the Super 32 Qualifier, defeating a Pennsylvania State placer on his way to a 3rd-place finish with a 5-1 record on the day.

With this result, Kyle has officially earned his spot and is eligible to compete at the Super 32 Tournament next month.

Congratulations, Kyle! Your hard work, dedication, and determination continue to pay off. We’re proud of you and can’t wait to see what you accomplish at Super 32!

Congratulations to Olivia Kemp on being named the 2026 Girls Wrestling Athlete of the Year by the Detroit Free Press and USA TODAY! She is the first athlete from Airport Community Schools to win this prestigious award!

What an incredible honor and so well deserved. Olivia continues to make history for Airport Wrestling and girls wrestling across the state. From becoming a the first girls state champion to earning national recognition, she has shown what hard work, toughness, discipline, and belief can do.

Olivia’s success is bigger than wins and awards. She is helping grow girls wrestling, inspiring younger girls to step on the mat, and proving that girls belongs on the biggest stages.

We're thrilled to share some extraordinary news! Olivia has been selected as a finalist for Women's Wrestler of the Year by the Detroit Free Press, a testament to her hard work and dedication. Tomorrow, she'll walk the red carpet and take the stage at Motor City Casino in downtown Detroit, proudly representing our wrestling program and vying for top honors. We couldn't be prouder of Olivia and are excited to see her shine! GoJets!

It's that time again where we are looking for Weight Class Sponsors! This year we have high hopes to have 18-19 weight class sponsors to include ALL of our boys and girls' weight classes. Girls wrestling is growing, and we want your athlete on the mat! 💪

Join us for the 2026 State Champ Camp Girls Wrestling Clinic led by MHSAA State Champion, Detroit Free Press Athlete of the Year Finalist and Nationally Ranked, Olivia Kemp, in partnership with Black Swan Wrestling Club and Junior Jets Wrestling

📅 Grades K–5: June 27
📅 Grades 6–11: June 28
⏰ 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (with a lunch break, bring your own lunch)
📍 Black Swan Wrestling Club | Monroe, MI

Open to girls of ALL skill levels going into grades K–11. Athletes will learn technique, build confidence, improve athletic skills, and meet other girls in the sport.

The wrestling All-region selections were released today, and 4 talented Jet wrestlers are being recognized for their outstanding achievements. Jr. Holden Otter has earned his 3rd selection, a testament to his dedication and perseverance. Jr. Kyle Link has made a strong debut, finishing 5th in the state and setting a new school tech fall record. Jr. Olivia Kemp has also made her first appearance, capping off an impressive season with a win over a nationally ranked opponent in the state finals. Fr. Ella Otter has been selected for honorable mention, making history as the first girl freshman to place at the state tournament. The Airport coaching staff has also been recognized for their exceptional leadership, earning an honorable mention for Coach of the year for the 2nd consecutive year. Congratulations to these remarkable student-athletes and coaches on their well-deserved recognition! GoJets!
