Topic: How to Release Lower Back Tension for Cyclists

***This is a hands-on workshop. If you plan to participate, we will have Foam Rollers available to 12 participants (or bring your own).

At this Thursday's workshop, we welcome KARIN FANTUS (an avid cyclist & a certified Authentic Pilates instructor) who will demonstrate (with the help of participants!), how the position of the pelvis contribute to tight hip flexor muscles that pull it out of alignment. This misalignment contributes to chronic lower back pain, the most common physical complaint of cyclists. Karin will teach exercises to help release hip flexors and to support good alignment.

Karin Fantus helps cyclists develop a more pain-free relationship between body and bike. Aside from being a cyclist, she’s a certified Authentic Pilates instructor, and studies methods such as MELT® (releasing fascia) and Gyrotonic® (decompressing joints). Karin applies it all to suit each client, in a process called APPLIED BODY LOGIC.
