The boys had a great weekend of racing, cars were fast and the boys are getting better everytime we go out. Got to run Port City Raceway on Friday and I-44 Speedway on Saturday night. Korbin got to race with his cousin Eli (ER Motorsports) on Saturday.
Port City Results
Carson
Heat 2->3
A Feature 12->8
Jensen
Heat 7->6
B Feature 7->8
Korbin
Heat 4->5
A Feature 15=15
Carson was moving on Friday Night got pushed up in his heat and got in line for third and just couldn’t get back around 2nd.
In the feature he kept the car clean and drove had to keep picking up positions.
Jensen got shoved back tangled up in the heat race and could get back up to them which put him in the b and he got a stacked B. And just didn’t have the power to kept up with them.
Korbin is gaining confidence in the car and getting faster. We struggled in the starts and that put us behind. He was having a good run in the feature till he got spun and put a lap down then his goal was just to finish the race.
I-44 Speedway we made a mad scrambled around 2 o’clock after seeing we were gonna avoid the rain to make it to race, which left no time for setting up the cars. Both Carson and Jensen ran their Port City gears and setup.
Carson
Heat 4->5
A Feature 13->10
Jensen
Car wouldn’t run for the heat race, leaking fuel
A Feature 18->16
Korbin
Heat 5=5
A Feature 9->7
Cousin Eli got 6th and got the win over Korbin this time
Carson is getting was better in his restarts and for a first time at the track with no adjustment me before we went he killed it. Had he had a couple more laps he could got a couple more positions he isn’t got edged at the line for 9th
Jensen didn’t get to practice the track any it he did got and advanced positions. He got sandwiched between two cars and they all got slowed down and let the rest of the field pull away. But he had a good battle with Cam going back and forth before Cam ended up getting him.
Korbin made high progress in his car understanding that he can go full throttle and the wing and car will hold him. He was as fast as the third place car just needs to work on his starts and passing a little more. If he had one more lap he might of gotten by Eli.
