A great day for Caribou Wrestling! The Vikings defended their home gym, going 4-0 on the day. Congratulations to the whole team for the sweep. Everyone played their part for a great day.

Special shout out to our 3 Seniors, Brody Anderson, Grace Jean, and Maxwell Ryan. We are so happy for this group. They are all 4 year wrestlers, and we are proud they have been part of our program. Thank you Seniors.

Thanks to all the parent volunteers, the RSU 39 athletic department, and custodial staff for another great home duals meet.

Special thanks to the parents of the Seniors for the early mornings, late nights, long trips, and fundraising. Your kids life is forever changed because of the path they took through this wrestling room. Well done.

Proud of our guys Mason St. Peter and Brock Gagnon. They both did us proud at this weekends tournament. All of our wrestlers tried very hard this weekend and we're so happy all of them could compete at the first ever "King and Queen of the North", Wrestling Tournament at Alfond Arena, University of Maine Orono.

Mason celebrated his birthday in style, pinning his way to a 2nd place overall finsh in the 157 pound weight class. He's got the heart champion and will not be satisfied with anything but first.

Brock wrestled well on his way to a 1st place finish and an outstanding wrestler award.

Special thanks to everyone at Penobscot County Wrestling for putting on such a great event. We're very happy to be able to wrestle great competition, at a great venue, with a great atmosphere. Shout out to the volunteers who made it happen.

Very special shout out to Lady Vikings Wrestling. On Saturday December 21st, 2024 Caribou put the first ever fully rostered Girls Wrestling team in the Great State of Maine on the mat at PCW's "King and Queen of the North" Wrestling Tournament. Our Girls Team won its 2nd Girls Team Tournament Championship this season. So happy for these Historic young ladies! So Many Podium Pics!

Saturday was a special day for Caribou Wrestling. We traveled to Alfond Arena at The University of Maine, Orono for PCW's "King and Queen of the North" wrestling tournament.

Brock Gagnon took Gold in the 126 pound bracket and was recognized as Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament.

All hail Brock Gagnon - The Giving, First of his Name, Breaker of brackets, Outstanding Wrestler, and King of the North.

So happy for ALL of our Lady Vikings. On Friday evening The Caribou Lady Vikings earned 3rd place at the first annual Franklin Savings Bank Invitational in Rumford. Special thanks to the crew at Mt. Valley that made this possible for us.

Special shout out to Brock Gagnon, on Saturday he earned 2nd place in the 132 # bracket at the Franklin Bank Invitational Wrestling Tournament in Rumford, Maine.

Caribou Wrestling finished 20th in a field of 26. Big thanks to Mt. Valley High School for hosting this fine event, RSU 39 and the CHS Athletic department for allowing our Wrestlers to go out and compete along side some of Maine best competition so far from home.

On Saturday December 7th 2024, Caribou Wrestling finished 1st out of 12 teams at the 20th annual Ryan Detour Memorial Wrestling Tournament at Bucksport High School. It was an honor to compete and hoist the Detour trophy. This was the best run tournament we have attended. We had several champions and many runners up. Our Vikings did a great job. Special thanks to Bucksport Gloden Bucks Wrestling for doing a truly amazing job hosting.

The Caribou Girls Wrestling Team competed at the All Girls State Championship on Tuesday.

Lady Vikings Wrestling showcased incredible skill and grit, resulting in 4 top 4 finishes and an impressive 4th place team finish in the state.

Katelynn Thibodeau 4th - 120 #
Elizabeth Robbins 4th - 126 #
Grace Jean 3rd - 185 #
Jocelyn Parlin 2nd - 152 #

Jocelyn Parlin has earned the honor of advancing to the First Annual Girls New England Tournament in Providence RI.

Special shout out to Coach Nina Ryan for supporting these young women and helping them achieve their goals.

Caribou Wrestling had the great honor of having 3 former Maine State Champions in the Wrestling room this week. Special shout out to our Aroostook County Alumni for being here to help us with preparation for Regionals.
