Due to the heat, we’ve made the decision to cancel today’s Youth Football scrimmage.

We apologize for the short notice, but the safety of our players comes first. Thank you for understanding, and stay cool!

Wednesday 9/2 practice is canceled.

Please have the boys dressed and ready at Upper Sandusky HS practice field by 5:30 on Thursday for our scrimmage. We will wear our practice jerseys.

Parents are encouraged to stay and watch. Please bring your own chairs.

Practices remain the same for 8/31 and 9/2, 5:30 - 7:30 at our practice field.

Thursday 9/3 Scrimmage at Upper Sandusky HS
- USHS Practice Fields, parents will want to bring chairs. No admission or concessions.
- Boys arrive 5:30, scrimmage to start at 6 pm - 7:30-8 pm
- Fields will be split for Varsity & JV

Details for next week practice and picture day will be updated by Friday 9/4. We will not have practice on Labor Day!

Practice times for both JV & Varsity remain the same for Thursday 8/27 with a slight adjustment.

The 6th grade varsity team will host Riverdale for a joint practice/scrimmage starting at 6 pm. The scrimmage will be held on our practice field.

Parents are welcome to watch, we recommend bringing chairs. We will not have concessions or officials.

Schedule Change Update:

We will be changing our practice schedule this week to accommodate the school open house events tomorrow.

Practices this week will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 5:30 - 7:30.

Practice Reminder 8/6/26:

Practice is from 5:30 - 7:00 PM.

Players who practiced Monday & Wednesday will wear helmets & shoulder pads with practice jerseys starting today. If your son has not received his practice jersey yet, please see Coach Caudill prior to the start of practice.

Players who missed practice on Monday or Wednesday will still be helmets only for today.

We appreciate Dr. Robbie offering physicals this year along with the donation to the program! Additionally, thank you to Coach Green and Coach Dyer for taking time out of their schedule to speak with the boys at camp.

Practice schedule for this week:

Monday & Wednesday 5:30 - 7:30 (Helmets only)

Thursday 5:30 - 7 (Helmet and Shoulder Pads only). Practice ends at 7 in case people want to attend Carey Pre-Fest activities at Waterworks Park.

Reminders:

Please ensure players have cleats and mouth guards for tomorrow. Players are encouraged to bring water bottles but we will have extra if needed.

Physical forms can be turned in at practice.

If one parent can attend the start Monday’s practice at 5:30, Coach Derr and Coach Caudill will be providing an update for this upcoming season.

Official Practice Schedule
Practices will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM beginning Monday, August 3 and continuing through the preseason.
Beginning the week of our first regular season game, practices will be reduced to 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM.
Conditioning & Equipment Schedule
Players must complete 10 hours of conditioning following the equipment schedule below prior to participating in full-contact drills. If your son is unable to attend practice(s), his schedule will be adjusted to ensure he completes the required conditioning hours before participating in full-contact activities.
• August 3 & August 5 – Helmet Only
• August 6 & August 10 – Helmet & Shoulder Pads Only
• August 12 & August 13 – Full Pads, No Contact Drills
• August 17 and Beyond – Full Pads & Full Contact

Scrimmage & Regular Season Schedule
• Schedules have not yet been finalized by the league commissioner.
• Scrimmage and regular season schedules will be posted on our page and GroupMe once available.
• The tentative first regular season game is scheduled for Sunday, September 13.

Cheerleading
We are still seeking additional participants for our cheerleading squad and currently do not have enough interest to field a full squad.
Coach Burton is reopening registration for interested cheerleaders entering Grades 4–6 for the 2026-2027 school year.

Important Notes
• Communications: GroupMe App Link: Technical difficulties, Coming Soon!
• Players must submit a sports physical dated June 1, 2026, or later prior to participating in any scrimmages. Physicals may be turned in at the first practice.
• We ask that one parent/guardian attend practice on Monday, August 3, as Coach Derr and Coach Caudill will hold a parent meeting at 5:30 PM.
• Information regarding the team fundraiser and 6th Grade Senior Night will be distributed once the regular season schedule has been finalized.

o 6th Grade: 18 players
o 5th Grade: 12 players
o 4th Grade: 14 players
