The award for the Individual Honors is way fun and WindanSea is doing all the Awards so your participation and attendance at the awards is huge!!! Please try to be there if you possibly to support your teammates and all of the Coalition members!!!

To Recap October:

WindanSea hosted their annual Menehune contest on Saturday, October 4th, @ La Jolla Shores, surfing 230 entries, @ 2 peaks to blast out a Coalition Size contest on a single day!!! WOW!!! And to do it with kids and their surfer parents is truly impressive!!!
Big kudos to the crew @ WSC for pulling it off!!!

On October 11th and 12th, we then had an exciting and excellent weekend with the TOURMALINE CLUB CLASSIC going off @ the Tourmaline Surf Park!!! Good conditions held up all weekend with every heat getting sets!!! Congrats to WindanSea for taking it down in the closest finish in Coalition history!!!

This past weekend, October 25th and 26th, we had the Swamis Surfing Association host the RETURN TO THE REEF @ Cardiff in pumping surf all weekend!!! Congrats to the crew from Oceanside Longboard Surfing Association for taking it down!!!

At the same time as the RETURN TO THE REEF, the SSA ran the 2025 Groms Contest SSA where 50+ kids hit the South Peak @ Cardiff, congrats to all who participated, the winners, and SSA for pulling it off!!!

Official update regarding the 2025 Gathering of the Tribes

The 2025 Gathering of the Tribes, hosted by the Doheny Longboard Surfing Association will be held at Trail 6.

Despite a new lease being signed to allow public access to San Onofre State Park, which includes our beloved San O surf breaks, the "Church" break is still currently controlled by the military. Obtaining a permit for the Church break is currently very time consuming, very expensive and not guaranteed at this time. Due to these facts we are holding our event at Trail 6 this year. We are hoping to return to Church in 2026! Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you all on March 22-23 at Trail 6.

All Jr Men and Women 15-19 first round, semis and finals will be held on Sunday, March 23. We are happy to accomodate those who are also surfing in the finals of the Coastal Division State Championships through the Scholastic Surf Series.

Wednesday, March 19. 5pm schedule and detailed heats will be posted on netsportmgt.com.

2024 DLSA VELZY - Doheny event Sept 7th

Sign ups are now available for the annual Velzy Surf Classic and Luau, hosted by the Doheny Longboard Surfing Association.
This one day event will be held at Boneyard, at Doheny State Beach on Saturday, September 7, 2024. All contestants must ride a longboard. The Velzy Surf Classic runs 7am to 4pm, with the luau to follow.
Your $75 entry fee includes surf contest entry, a raffle ticket and a ticket to the Luau following the surf contest. The Luau is 4pm-9pm and includes appetizers and dinner, live music, Polynesian Dancer performance, and great raffle prices.
This is a private event. There will be no beach sign ups and no luau ticket sales the day of the event.
VERY IMPORTANT: You will not receive an email confirmation when you sign up. You'll know we have received your registration when you complete your Paypal payment.

Divisions are subject to change based on sign ups. Heat sheets will be available on Thursday, September 5 at 8pm.
