🚨⚾ FEEDER SCHOOL GAMES UPDATE ⚾🚨

Due to the extreme heat forecasted for tomorrow, we have made the decision to cancel tomorrow’s Feeder School Games. The safety of our players, coaches, families, and everyone involved has to come first.

We are currently working with all four feeder schools to find a later in the year Saturday date that works for everyone so we can still get the tournament in.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility. We’ll share the new date or any update as soon as we have it finalized.

Today, the Carbondale Terrier Baseball program honors and thanks Gwen Poore for everything she has done for our athletic department and we’re wishing her the very best in retirement!

From everyone involved with Carbondale Terrier Baseball, thank you for the countless ways you’ve impacted our program, our student athletes and our school. As a teacher, coach, assistant principal and athletic director, you have led with kindness, integrity and have supported every athlete and every coach.

No matter the sport or the season, you were always there encouraging, supporting and believing in others. Your leadership helped make Carbondale a better place and our baseball program is grateful to have been part of your journey.

Congratulations on a truly deserving retirement. Thank you for everything you’ve done for Carbondale and for all who have worn the Terrier uniforms. Your legacy will continue to inspire generations of Terriers.

You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Congratulations to Connor Daly on verbally committing to continue his academic and baseball career at Missouri State–West Plains!

Connor’s commitment is a testament to the countless hours he’s invested both on and off the field.

We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve accomplished, Connor. Missouri State–West Plains is getting an outstanding pitcher, but an even better young man.

Congratulations to you and your family on this well-deserved opportunity. The entire Terrier family is excited to watch what the future holds!

Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads, grandfathers, stepdads and father figures out there.

While all dads are great, baseball dads are the best 😉

Thank you for the countless hours, rides to practices and games, for the late night trips for forgotten equipment, and to the lessons you teach far beyond the baseball field.

Congratulations to Tyler Karayiannis on being selected to the 2026 SICA ALL SOUTH TEAM!

If I’ve said it once I could say it a thousand times, Tyler is the type of player every coach wants in their program. He’s tough, coachable, competitive and always willing to do whatever the team needs.

We’re proud of everything you’ve accomplished this season. Keep working, keep leading your teammates to the field and in it and keep chasing greatness!

Tyler is now offering baseball lessons for any players looking to improve their game. Whether it’s hitting, fielding, pitching, baseball IQ, or simply learning what it takes to compete at the high school level, Tyler is ready to help the next generation of players reach their goals.

⚾️🚨Carbondale Terrier Baseball🚨⚾️

Congratulations to Tyler Karayiannis on being named First Team All-Conference not once, but twice earning the honor as both an Infielder and a Pitcher in the South 7 Conference.

Tyler is a true competitor. He has a way of making things look easy, but I can assure you there is nothing easy about what he does. The reason it looks that way is because of the countless reps, hours of work and commitment he puts in when nobody is watching. His success is no accident.

What makes this accomplishment even more impressive is that Tyler wasn’t even a pitcher before this season. When our team needed someone to step up, he never blinked. He embraced the challenge, became our ace and still remained one of the most dangerous hitters in the conference. That’s a rare combination.

As a coach, one of the things I’m most proud of is watching young players grow into leaders both on and off the field. Tyler has done exactly that. He’s been our captain, our MVP and a guy his teammates look to every single day. The awards and recognition are well deserved, but they are really just a reflection of the type of player, leader, and young man he has become.

As a program, we couldn’t be more proud of you, Bone.

Congratulations. And dare I say it… the best is still to come? 😉

What an athlete, but more importantly what a person. After two straight years of being our MVP, he’s still the first one out there working to get better. He’s extremely coachable and not only listens, but actually puts what’s being taught to him into action. That’s rare. Even better, he’s leading his teammates to do the same. When your best player is also your hardest worker and biggest example, that’s how real culture is built.

Tyler Karayiannis had one of the top seasons Carbondale Baseball history. He won their team mvp award last year as a sophomore batting around .415 and when they thought that was amazing enough he blew the doors off of his sophomore year winning back to back mvp’s for them this year as a junior by raising his batting average to .467… He’s being recruited by multiple division 1 schools at the moment and just have a look at that conference stat line! That’s an MVP season for sure! Congratulations Tyler!

Today our Terriers head into regional play with one goal… keep this season alive especially for our seniors. This group has battled through adversity and earned the opportunity to compete for more baseball together. Now it’s time to lock in, trust our preparation and play Terrier Baseball.

Jump on them early. Compete every pitch. Play for each other.

From here on out… it’s us against the world.
