Because every picture tells a story…fishing with 3 generations! I ended up cooking their fresh catch at my home due to a power outage at lunchtime their last day. What sweet memories!! Always love when the fishermen return to the island, especially when they are now grown and are great fishermen. Passing down the love of fishing to so many is a great blessing!!

The experience of hooking one of these powerful, acrobatic fish is always exhilarating! In Florida, a tarpon between 3-4 feet are considered larger juveniles/ subadults that often weigh 15-40 pounds. They are getting close to the transition into larger adult classes. Maneuvering under a boat and dock was quite different than fighting with one in a boat for hours. The fight was shorter but still powerful!

What a great picture with her headband matching the fish! This is an awesome size sheepshead as most sheepshead are commonly caught close to 13 inches locally. They are known for their sheep-like teeth. Can be confused with a similar species, the Black Drum.

This gold colored redfish with blue tinge tail is beautiful. The blue tinge on the tail is caused by foods they eat & more predominant in the winter. Many consider redfish the ultimate inshore gamefish here in Florida! They do not disappoint & always will put up a good fight many times harder & longer than most inshore fish!
