This is a rain or shine (or snow or hail or "wicked nasty Nor'Easter") event. As we've seen from previous events, there is no weather that can stop a hardy New Englander from following their passion, and we will not let it stop us from holding this event. Don't forget to bring your foul weather gear so you can still cast rods comfortably if it's sleeting sideways. March 28th, 2026 from 9 am - 4 pm, here at Eldredge Bros Fly Shop. The address is below or you can e-mail/call the shop for directions.

We've have more details coming, so stay tuned for more updates about the Expo!

Hi Folks. Join us in congratulating Geoff Aleva of North Berwick, ME for winning the latest Flies for Kids (FFK) raffle! We hope Geoff catches many fish with his new trove of flies & gear.

We want to thank everyone for participating in this year's FFK raffle -- both by donating flies and by purchasing tickets.

We have already started receiving fly donations for the next drawing, so please keep the raffle in mind when you are tying this winter -- it just takes a handful of flies from tyers such as yourselves to make the FFK program a success.

Proceeds from raffle ticket sales are used to buy Wapsi fly-tying kits, which are given away at no charge to kids who are interested in learning the craft of fly tying. In the past 10 years, we have given away over 400 kits to new, young tyers.

Thank you for supporting the FFK program, and we hope you are having a safe and happy winter season.

Hi Folks,

We just wanted you to be aware that the shop has received a nominal shipment of Thomas Ames Jr's wonderful guide: Pocketguide to Eastern Hatches, which (as many of you know) was out of print for a fair amount of time, and was commanding a very steep price on resale sites like eBay.

The edition we received is softcover and retails for $29.95.

Please call or stop by the shop if you would like to obtain one while they are still available.

Thank you, and we hope you are enjoying the late summer season.

Just a reminder of our ongoing Flies for Kids (FFK) program we have here at the fly shop.

The purpose of the program is to raise money to purchase beginner fly-tying kits, which we hand out for free to young people who express an interest in learning how to tie flies.

Tyers from all over the nation donate flies and art to this raffle, and the fly shop donates the fly boxes (and other items). Tickets are $10 each, with one lucky winner receiving all prizes.

The drawing date is "rolling", and occurs when enough money is collected for us to order the tying kits from Wapsi at a bulk discount.

Aside from the flies seen in the pic above, there are more flies (to be boxed) and other items in this raffle, including a wood boat/canoe landing net, a Simms tote bag, and embroidered, framed fly-fishing art. The estimated value of our current prizes is conservatively estimated at $2,500.

Tickets for the raffle can only be purchased with cash in person at the shop.

Thank you for supporting the FFK program, and we hope you are having a safe and productive fishing season.
