1sf full week of classes at our NEW Uptown Jackson Studio, and we couldn’t be more excited! 💗

Seeing dancers walk through these doors, meeting so many new families, and watching this new space come to life has been such a special milestone for Industry Dance Company!!

We are so thankful for the warm welcome we’ve received from the Jackson community and for every family who has already chosen to be part of IDC! This is only the beginning, and we cannot wait to see everything that grows inside these studio walls. 🌟

BACK TO WORK🌟Competition solos are officially in full swing!

You see the finished routine on stage…but have you ever wondered what goes into those 2–3 minutes before a dancer ever steps in front of the judges? 👀

Behind every solo is…

✨ Finding the right song for the dancer
✨ Choosing a style + concept that fits their personality
✨ Hours of choreography
✨ Private lessons + one-on-one training
✨ Cleaning every little detail
✨ Technique, turns, jumps + flexibility training
✨ Finding the perfect costume
✨ Hair, makeup + the full stage look
✨ Learning how to tell a story, not just perform steps
✨ Practicing at home
✨ Making changes as the dancer grows throughout the season
✨ Building confidence + stage presence
✨ And LOTS and LOTS of repetition!

A solo is so much more than a dance. It’s an entire season of growth between one dancer + one choreographer coming together on stage!!
