Thanks to Leandro Lorenco and Milestone Martial Arts for the opportunity to teach this clinic.
I had a great time and truly enjoyed sharing the mat with everyone who attended.
It was especially
meaningful to reconnect with some of my former Ryoku Judo students and spend time together on
the mats once again.
Thank you to all the participants for your hard work, enthusiasm, and support. Clinics like this
remind me why I love teaching judo.
I hope we can do it again in the future and continue sharing our passion for judo together.

I am very excited to announce that during my upcoming visit to Las Vegas I will be hosting a special Renraku Waza & Kumikata Clinic at Milestone Martial Arts.
This event is more than just a clinic—it is an opportunity to reconnect with old friends, teammates, competitors, and former students, share stories, train together, and celebrate the friendships that judo has given us over the years.
I am also honored that my sons, Sergio Sanchez Jr. and Nelson Sanchez, as well as my longtime friend and respected judoka Sensei Miguel Leon, will be joining us on the mat for this special
event.
This clinic will focus on:

• Kumikata (Grip Fighting & Control)
• Creating Attacking Chains
• Timing, Transitions & Competition Strategy

I miss coaching at judo tournaments.
I miss the traveling, the long drives, the flights, the early mornings, and the hours spent just to make it to the venue. I miss being matside with my students - feeling every grip, every attack, every mistake, every victory, and every defeat with them.
Win or lose, we always grew. That was the beauty of it.
I was always proud of the way my students represented our club, not only with their results, but with their heart, their courage, their respect, and the way they carried the
name of Ryoku Judo Club.
Today, one of my students is competing at the Golden State Championship in Los
Angeles. He still competes under our club’s name, but I am not sitting matside this time. One of my friends and former assistant coaches will be there, and I am grateful for that.
But I wish I could be there.
I am proud of him. Proud that the Ryoku spirit is still on the mat. Proud that the name continues to be represented.
Maybe one day soon I will be back matside again - coaching, traveling, winning, losing, learning, and watching my students stand on the podium.
That is who I am.
A coach. A sensei. A student of judo forever.
