Utilizing a cage to hold bait over night can be a huge stress relief when headed out in the morning. These baits were caught with a 3/8” mesh cast net. Being gentle while transferring the baits from water to boat and boat to cage is crucial for success. Some canals and areas it may not be an option but some patience and a little effort can go a long way. Another huge help for bait transferring is the from . Remember when handling baits their slime coat is as important as our skin, damage or knock off a large percentage is fatal. In tougher conditions sabiki’d bait may be your best option and make sure a dehooker is involved while collecting your worms! With waters reaching 90 degrees and a lot of afternoon thunderstorms we are still managing a 100% survival rate in 24 hours! Pretty great to see in these waters.

Threw some left overs in the cage for tomorrow mornings trip. This all pvc/poly cage is simple to throw in and out of the water as needed and still has more then enough volume to build a couple hundred. No rusting, and much less likely to scratch the boat while transferring as well. Throw it on board for easy mobility while traveling also.

A new and cage for ! The guys will be able to hold baits for their charters and make their trips a little less stress...

Our 2x4 cage came in handy this weekend for the Reel Tight crew! They were only able to fish a short while but were able to put these baits to use catching 25 mahi and taking third place lady angler by 10 am! The Indigenous-Captain Travis Dickens
