More training does not automatically create better performance.
When an athlete already has team practices, games and weekend tournaments, adding conditioning just to make them tired can work against the result we actually want.
The closer we get to competition, the more intentional training needs to become.
That doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means managing the volume while keeping the quality high—training movement, speed, power and strength without creating unnecessary fatigue.
Your athlete should not have to recover from their preparation while trying to perform.
Train with a purpose.
Recover with a purpose.
Then let them compete.
